 Alert | Well someone did not see the "slow traffic keep right" signs last night I guess. I saw a car going about 60-65 in the left lane, and a car going the same pace next to them in the right lane. Obviously, this caused a little blockage in the flow of traffic because there were about 3 or 4 cars behind the one in the left lane, and a few in the right as well. No one could get around either of them to even go 65-70. One car even passed on the shoulder to get around them.
This seemed like a dangerous situation to me because there were several cars going 60-65 very close to each other, all in the hopes that one of these cars would go slightly faster so they could go around them. If any one of those cars decided to slow down quickly, there would have been many cars rear ending each other. How fun. I am pretty sure those cars in front, esp. the one in the left lane, were on little power trips because they were basically setting the speed that every other car could go. I hate people like that. Yes, I'm annoyed by drivers wanting to pass me going 90, because it's dangerous, but is it up to me to decide? No. And in this case, even the driver who passed on the shoulder only ended up going about 70 once he was able to. Anyway, just a note, if you want to play God and have the power to slow everyone down, get off the road and go home to play a video game in which you can control people, like the Sims. Again, please post the exact wording of the law that says that. Until you can find that, I'll refer you back to the section that says "normal speed" of traffic. Here's a clue: if you are not passing the car in the right lane, and you have a mile long line of cars built up, you're going less than the "normal speed" of traffic. Even if this is the speed limit. And before you protest, I was pulled over by an officer for this, so I know.
BUT they are speeding and I am going the speed limit.. Where does that make sense? | |

Alert | | This is how road rage starts... then the person is wondering why they got ran off the road...like someone who came on this forum saying that they got cut off and had to swerve and ended up in the desert I saw what had taken place one car trying to hold up all that wanted to pass someone darted in a little opening (I do the same) they left, car over corrects and BAM that person went from blocking traffic(for a couple miles) to being upside down in the desert. Ccar that cut him off was fine and continued on with there commute...the moral of this story is pass in the left, drive in the right or you might just end up upside down in the desert... sinbad you dont want to be upside down in the desert do you? | |

I believe you missed a few posts above, where I said I was pulled over on US 60 for the same thing you are claiming is OK, even though traffic was passing me going 10-20+ over the limit. Sinbad, it is well documented that the safest flow is for traffic to keep right unless passing. You can argue all you want but you can only control what you do. If you do not keep right when you aren't passing, you really must not be all that interested in the safety of the road and everyone on it. | |

Alert | first-Sinbad if your upside down in the desert how do you expect to sue the person that cut you off (no one will stop...second-how would you prove it...third-I doubt you have the balls to shoot someone who cut you off and would be pretty hard to do upside down in the desert

I believe I also mentioned that I'm OK with 65 as long as no one is pulling any stunts, like speeding up and slowing down, blocking others from passing, etc. My biggest problem are those people and those in the left lane going under the limit. | |
