Alert | I've decided to call 347 the Arizona Autobahn because nobody follows the speed limit and nobody is there to enforce it. The wrecks I see everyday are beginning to resemble NASCAR crashes. I'm constantly wondering how those cars ended up 1/2 mile in the desert on their lids but judging how people like to multitask in their cars (cellphone, eating, smoking, and spanking their kids all at the same time) it's no surprise.
Remember, we all chose to move 30 miles out of the city for various reasons. It's time you remember that was your decision and if you are in that much of a hurry to get home maybe you need to move back to Tempe, Chandler, etc.

Alert | I had 2 (countem, TWO) tailgaters this morning. Fast lane is one thing and I'll pull over when it is safe and convenient for me, but don't freaking push my buttons while I'm chilled out in the right lane. Brake check ended up working on the first, but not the second (one of these days I might just take my foot off the gas when I give them brake lights). The persistent one was a silver Dodge Stratus that pulled into XXXXXXX Launch Systems this morning at about 5:45 AM.

Alert | | I like the autobahn. People drive slower on it than on the 10 by casa grande. I go 80 and I was getting passed coming out of casa grande. Then I noticed the speed limit is 75. Now that's scary.

Alert | Wahhhh, im slow, it bothers me when people want to go past me when im taking a leisurely drive, wahhh.
What a bunch of babies, what we really need is a liscence plate that indicates you are working employee to be able to drive on the Arizonabahn (I like this better) during rush hour, otherwise you get pulled out and beaten with belt buckles for 20 minutes. Keep your leisure driving to Sunday afternoons with Miss Daisy. Better watch out with the brake checking, Maricopa is an awful quite place to get your door filled with lead like they do up in the valley. Keep your retired --- at home during rush hour. I know that traffic seems to move to fast but that is just because you cant keep up anymore POPS. LOL
We chose to live here because the housing was cheap, we choose to drive fast because employment is far away. OMG I was being passed at 80!!! LOL On the Autobahn the police there will arrest you for messing around like brake checking (extreme punishment), or going to slow (significant punishment), perhaps we need some German Police to get traffic moving out there. Germans (I served there in the USAF, and my whole family is German) dont misunderstand what the roadways are built for, to move people and goods quickly and safely from one place to another, you all seem to have the idea in your head that our roads are some sort of place to cruise around on and that those that want to get somewhere quick are an affront to you. The casino is open all the time, hit it for bruch ok grandma and grandpa, and let us working people get to work.

Alert | | Speeds on the Autobahn average 85-100 MPH and it is not uncommon to see cars going 130+ MPH. Speed should be the least of people's concerns on 347. | | Joined: Jul 2005

Alert | | Umm, I'm no slow poke and I do dislike people that are slow as hell, don't get me wrong. But since I am assuming your "OMG I was being passed at 80" refers to my post, I would like to know what speeds you are going that make 80 seem slow. I speed everywhere I go but I don't multitask, which is probably why I have never been in an at-fault accident, but have been able to avoid accidents that would have been caused by people who go the speed limit, but still are too stupid to control their own vehicles. Anyway, Maricopa Highway IS NOT the autobahn, at least not officially, so why should everyone be going over 85?

You are a funny person. Ho Ho Ho (not Santa). Maybe you will be that person that gets a little toooo close to my bumper in the slow lane. We can only hope that it will be somebody as deserving as you if I ever actually slow (which I don't, and I don't drive slow either) when my brake lights go on. And you should also be careful about speaking of putting lead into a door as that could be mistaken as a threat by somebody. I doubt it's you because I Kia Rio can't keep up.

Alert | Did any of you complaining see that when you moved out here people were already speeding heavily? It has been this way for years and one of the main reasons is cheap houses and a lack of jobs in town. This creates a huge group of people that commute. Instead of worrying about what others do how about you just stay in the right lane for now

Alert | | Hey alanf - you are much more dangerous than anyone else out there. Brake checking? You need to be the one to go to jail. Do me a favor and stayhome instead of endangering everyone on the road. Brake checking in my opinion is the stupidest thing you can do and I won't be suprised to see that you are the one with the car upside down in the desert.

Alert | | Wow, you guys get to go faster than 20 mph????? Anytime I try to leave Maricopa its 1 lane,5 mph, and takes me 45 min to get to the I10 if Im lucky!! When the lanes are all open if ALL the slow drivers stay to the right like all the books tell us..wed be fine!! But no not here in Arizona noone knows how to be a curteous driver!! We like to drive 15 miles slower than the speed limit and then right next to each other so everyone else is stuck. Then when someone moves people drive like speed demons to make up for lost time. If we were more curteous people wouldnt speed quite as much!

Youre not that person in the small 4 door silver car in the fast lane going slow were you? I would have been the first tailgator then!

No delby, I do not travel slow in either lane. I flow with the traffic unless there is construction, then I drive the posted speed limit (nobody wants their fine doubled right?).
