Alert | Hey dude....with the white POS lebaron driving early this morning at about 4:30 a.m....having reds/blues strobe on your dashboard, your plate and information have been recorded. Have fun with the letter that gets to you in a about a few days, wrong person to try that on when you're not a verified LEO.
Folks, if you see a middle aged cacausian male, black glasses, security guard type uniform with a red/blue light strobe on the dashboard of a white older model and beat up chysler lebaron, DO NOT PULL OVER FOR HIM. Call PCSO or MPD, DPS if on highway 347.

Alert | A wannabe cop. Those are dangerous. I hope they check him out.
Arizona needs a law similar to the one in the California Vehicle Code that prohibits the various colors of lights on a non-emergency vehicle. I see low riders with blue lights in place of their parking lights in the front, etc., which is very distracting. | | Stupid should hurt!

Waits patiently for Jason to post law. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/blink.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Blink' align='absmiddle'></div>
You'll be waiting forever because there is no such law.
Path to all the Arizona Revised Statutes regarding transportation. http://www.azleg.gov/ArizonaRevisedStatutes.asp?Title=28
There is however a law regarding impersonating a police officer. http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/02411.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS

Alert | Thank you Grilladawg for reporting the plates. The reason California really cracked down and made law regarding this type of activity was due to a preditor in the Griffith Park area of LA that was dubbed the "Red Light Killer". (Back about 40 years) He would find kids and follow them, then, well, I am sure you can figure out what he did after pulling them over....
The general rule yesterday was to pull into a very well lighted area, if you questioned the person behind you. Today, call 911 as you drive. The dispatchers will record the convo. They can also let you know if you are being tailed by a cop, and if you are not, they can make a safe place for you to go.

Alert | my wife had an event like this, but it was east of the honeycutt rd wash ( the huge DIP in the road).. WHERE was YOUR event?...she wound up calling 911...the guy followed her around for 15 minutes and when she stopped to pick up her carpooler, he started to approach her car so she took off... he turned around, drove AWAY from her, and came at her HEAD ON around the other side of the block.. she had to dirve in reverse to get away and when she heard the sirens from calling 911 i guess they did too and left... they did not get caught... where did it happen to you?...

Alert | | Amonth or two ago, my daughter and I were in Alterra playing at the swings when this guy dropped down from the fence across from the wash wearing a police issued swat uniform. He was carrying what looked like a real rifle and took off the uniform to get into an old Jeep. I know that undercovers drive whatever, and waer uniforms like this, usually there is a group or more of them instaed of just one. I think he was a civilian wannabe cop.

Alert | If you are being pulled over by an unmarked car and feel uncomfortable pulling over on a desolate road or in the dark, then continue until you can pull over where people are around. You are well within your rights to do so, and most PO's driving unmarked cars are aware of this.
