Does anyone know if they are planning to put one up there? It is hard to make even a right hand turn and almost impossible to make a left. Now that the building is gone "take the first left after the Dairy Queen” is the best directions I can give. More directional signs would be great. Even a sign at Elliot would be nice. Down by the tracts is getting so congested. I hope they do something before my daughter gets her license.

I hate replying to my own post but it seems strange that they would have a light on Elliot going into the Villges on one side (and for the longest time on the other side - it went off to nowhere) but not one at a major intersection at a huge development (Sentita) and future school (next year) and further down Tortosa, I don't care when they turn them on, just get them up.

Ok, I'm done I think.

I think you mean Edison not Elliot, but anyway, I agree they need a light on the corner of Honeycutt as well. Also they put up signs to say where the plazas are why not the streets?

That would be rather close, however, something needs to be done!

I avoid that area as much as possible. We live in Tortosa, so we do Smith-Enke to Porter to Honeycutt to home. When we first came down here to look at the house while it was being built, we took Honeycutt and even at noon, we sat there for a good 5 minutes waiting to turn.

I am thinking that if they do the light at Casa Grande Hwy, that could help with the Honeycutt traffic, somewhat, but not completely. It would help those turning onto Honeycutt and those turning from Honeycutt to Fry's say. But to turn from Honeycutt to 347 towards the casino, won't help as much.

I know some people hate having so many lights in town and on 347, but lights do make sense, not so much for a safety issue, but for a practical issue. When you take a good 5 minutes to make a left turn cause of traffic, that's a problem.

Of course, the other solution is if they do build a light at Casa Grande, just avoid Honeycutt and use Casa Grande to where you need to go. I just hate traffic.

SO lets get this straight.. You want a light on Honeycutt.. others want a light 50 feet down the road at Maricopa/Casa Grande highway.. 50 more feet to the railroad.. </div>

There are proposed plans (to improve the traffic jam caused by crossing trains) to divert MCG Hwy. traffic over to Honeycutt before it reaches 347, so one light at Honeycutt would suffice.

That would make more sense, due to the fact that MCG is so close to the RR with lights this could me crazy. Or they could set the lights up to all go red when a train is comming. That is the way they set up a huge very busy intersection right at two busy RR crossings near my old house. It sounds crazy but, it works if the city plans correctly and the state too.
