 Alert | Why is it that its been backed up this week really bad? I have to keep leaving earlier and earlier..
Is this something I have to get used to.. or is there something going on that is causing more and more people to use the main entrance area to RED?

Alert | | Yes, It is called growth. More people are moving in homes near Smith/Enke. so there is more traffic there. I am guessing that the people who use to use Smith/Enke now just use the main enterence to RED. It will get bad before it gets really bad. The only way it will get better is if the people who don't like how much time it takes to get to work move back closer to their jobs. | | | |

about the same for me, i haven't been able to find a time to not sit. anytime from 6:00 to 6:30 there is traffic.
it seams like it started one morning and never went away. i guess it started about 2 months ago.

The day it really started was
a.) When the schools started in Maricopa and the east valley that parents are leaving early to get their kids to school.
b.) ASU started their Fall classes the same day and thats why traffic started and never went away..
Everyone has to leave a little earlier to get their little ones to school and then get to work. Summer or school break you will notice better traffic again.

Alert | Hey! I wonder if they could set up some police officers to monitor the ingress points of RED and then pull people over and ticket them 2x for avoiding a traffic control device (one at Smith-Enke and one at Cobblestone).
Of course, we'd need the HOA to purchase Rancho El Dorado Parkway so they're actually driving on private property... | |

Alert | It is like that at 5:50 in the morning too. The people are nice though, we are treating it as a stop sign. Which is nice, because those on the Pima Butte side have the right of way and could leave all of us just sitting there. Yes, I live in Rancho, I am not cutting through.
I have only noticed it in the last few weeks. I used to be able to just drive up and there would be only four of us waiting at the stop light. I am now almost backed up to the park.

That may be part of it but I don't think that's the main cause of traffic. It has never been like this in the last 3 years that I have been out here. Last year and the year before you may have been backed up by the fountain maybe 2 or 3 car lengths around 6:45. Also, there were not as many cars making a left onto that little road you take to turn right onto 347. Now when I leave at that time I am backed up to the wash. I am not sure how far the other side is backed up but it's insane. RED almost needs to have a third exit from the community. To bad they can't build one by Pima Butte school that would connect to the 347.
I have to agree with the OP that it's only going to get worse, especially as the Lakes gets built out. | | | |

The builders really should have constructed multiple entrance/exits to get in and out of RED. It is absolutely ridiculous to wait 20 minutes every morning just to pull out of there
