What the hell happened to the left turn signal on Smith Enke and the 347? It disappeared yesterday. There are way too many cars turning left there, they need the arrow and an additional lane could be added easily. Do we have to contact ADOT and wait 10 business days for an automated reply to get this fixed? Why can't our city government do anything about this stuff? Billingsley and his department should be all over this stuff, but they do absolutely nothing.

They are who we thought they were!

I think it has been fixed now. Probably just a malfunction.

HOWEVER, have you noticed that at night between 5pm-7pm Smith Enke signal (going east-west, west-east) is way too long in comparison to 347? Many times I have noticed no, or one or two cars going through the intersection east-west or west-east, while 347 is backed up by 30 cars. There needs to be a timing adjustment to that light allowing the 347 traffic more 'green' time.

I noticed that too. It used to be way too short, where it would turn yellow before I even got half-way across the intersection. Plus it would change over even if there was traffic coming by CVS. They need to strike a balance.

I would think all the lights, within town, are timed from one light to the next.

They do seem to be timed. Timed to make you stop at each of them and bunch the traffic up as tightly as possible. When I head to work at about 5am each morning, I get stopped by every light from Elliot to Rancho El Dorado almost every single day whether there are cars crossing JWP or not. I don't think they could make it worse if they tried.

PKMet, One thing that worries me about them opening that second turn lane is that they will probably stop allowing left turns on a solid green by putting up a red arrow. I have noticed on just about every intersection with more than one turn lane. Not sure why they do it, but it seems to be the norm.
