why? did you just figure out how far Maricopa is from everything? Did you sleep on every drive out to your new home prior to move in?

depends on what you mean by "long"? Time wise, not really, it doesn't take me that much longer if any, to get to work from maricopa than it did from Warner and McQueen in Chandler. Distance wise, yes it's farther.

I commute to 44th St. and Thomas. It really does not feel that far. It takes the same amount of time and it is 1 mile more to my work than it is from where we were staying in Gilbert before moving here.

I used to drive from Congress to Phoenix every single day for work and school so to me nothing could ever be as long as that drive.

No. I thought everyone living in Maricopa worked at home. I always wondered where the hundreds of cars on 347 were going.

I lived in Tempe before.. I only added 10 minutes moving out here...

It would take me 15 minutes to go 2 miles in Tempe...

I used to work at Warner and Kyrene. Then they moved to DEER VALLEY!

101 and the i-17. Took me an hour to get there. 1.5 to get home. I did that for 8 months.

Now I work in Chandler again. Chandler Blvd and 101.

What route do you take and how fast do you drive. every time i work up at Mayo it takes me atleast 35 minutes from Baseline and I-10. But traffic does play part in that because of the buildup until passed the broadway curve.

I only added 3 miles to my commute when I moved here from East Mesa. In the morning it takes me an extra 10 minutes or so to get to work. Some of this may be due to all the construction going on in Downtown Phoenix. It takes me 15 minutes less to get home in the evening.

30-40 minutes each way

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

I drive from Gold Canyon 3-4 days per week. It's about 1 hour and 5 minutes each way. That is, until the 347 started its improvements. Can't wait til the project is finished!
