I was trying to avoid the mess on the 347 this evening by taking Casa Blanca Road. Just my luck, I got a flat tire. My faith in humanity has been restored because a complete stranger (I asked for his business card), John at Lizard Heights Glass, ACTUALLY STOPPED AND HELPED ME. He could have passed me by--like everyone else was doing. I'm glad he was there, because my spare wasn't even properly inflated. Fortunately, he had an air compressor in his truck.

So, as a repayment for his kindness, I'm including his business info. They do residential and auto glass, and they work with most insurance companies. Here goes:

John Turcott
Lizard Heights Glass

Thanks, John! I would have been in a world of hurt without you!

That's great! He was just at my house a couple of days ago to verify measurements for a window I have that needs to be fixed. They haven't done the work yet (since I only contacted them a few days ago, so the window is on order) but so far I'm very happy with their customer service. They were here to measure the same day I called them and I didn't even call till around 4:00 in the afternoon! He was very nice and polite when he was here to measure.

Isn't it great that there are still people who will stop and help?

As Bertrand Russell once said, "The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation." I think we can all appreciate the relevance of that now.

I had John put in some glass shelves a few weeks ago. He was very particular and did a fantastic job. Just in passing I mentioned my sliding glass door was off kilter, and before he left he fixed that too......at no charge. He's a good guy.
