Where is all of the increased enforcement? Sure would have been nice this morning when I was passed on a curve in RED. There was no way that driver could have seen around the curve. Could have nailed them with:

- Speeding
- Unsafe lane change
- Failure to signal (2x)
- Driving left of center without visibility on a curve

People certainly are hostile to driving the speed limit within Maricopa.

Well Jason, as long as each driver feels that THEY are driving safe, it's okay right? I mean, just because you think they are unsafe doesn't mean they are.

I have seen them around. They are patroling the area. It's that old saying...."Never a cop around when you need one"

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Yeah, seems everyone is in a hurry and their reasons are way more important than others! I haven't really seemed much new law enforcement either. I would have thought they would sit and park by the schools - for those not abiding the school speed limit. ???????

Oh yeah.. Jason.. on another note.

The speed limit past Riggs going south is a POSTED 45... so 65-70 is speeding..

(just a note from that other thread...)

on a semi related note, whats with the increase of traffic at the exit of RED in the morning? about 2 weeks ago i started hitting a line of traffic on my usual commute to work...

i've actually been really surprised to see people practicing the zipper merge idea to get out. one southbound car goes to the exit, then one north bound, south bound, north bound..... but as soon as they hit 347 its back to the normal asshatterie.

Kids are in school and ASU is open for business...

Another reason could be that people are trying to use the REDS as a short cute.

There is a huge difference between going a obviously safe speed on 347, and passing through oncoming traffic on a curve. You really don't see that?

Since you two are so gung-ho about it, do you really drive exactly 45 through the whole length, never even 1 MPH faster?

Yes, Jason. I think we all know the dangers of passing through oncoming traffic on a curve.

Actually, I've been trying to keep it at 72.5.

driving exactly at 45 mph may be difficult for most, since most vehicles speedometers are calibrater from the manufacturer to display your speed as 4-5 mph faster than you are actually traveling.

i'm in that long line leaving RED in the morning. I drop my daughter off at Pima Butte then head back home to CF.
