Alert | | Hey everyone I just got home and traffic was backed up from the mountain. It took me well over an hour. Since the right lane was closed it looked like someone got rear ended and their bumper came off. No one was hurt but the police were writing stuff down.

Alert | This just reminds me of people's knee-jerk reactions going through this construction. When I went home I was watching the traffic in front of me go over the bridge south of Rinker. Now keep in mind, that huge bump has been there for awhile now, so everyone should be used to it. But nope, line of 5 cars slammed on the brakes because the Trailblazer leading the line decided at the last minute to slam on the brakes. A Trailblazer! Now I know that isn't necessary, because I went over it at 70 no problem, as did the low riding BMW behind me. Neither of us bottomed out.

The speed limit there is 45MPH Jason. Isn't 25MPH over the speed limit a bit excessive?

You were doing 70 mph in a construction Zone? Jason.... For shame. | | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!! Alert | I guess you will be next then. I hope you get out of town before it happens. I'd hate to see your car airborne coming towards mine (though I doubt your car will go airborne... ).

I do Jason. Just before Riggs there is a white sign with black letters that say speed reduction ahead. Immediately after Riggs there is a White with blacl letters 45MPH sign. There are no speed other signs until you hit the 55 MPH sign after the bridge. So you can speed up for 100 yards prior to the 45 MPH sign coming into sign. This is South into town. And there is no 65 MPH sign after Rinker either. you are wrong this time Jason.
Northbound is 65MPH, but South didn't get reset to 65MPH. Prove me wrong Jason. I'm going home in about an hour and I'll watch AGAIN.... HA HA HA HA

Alert | It changes daily. I saw a 65 sign uncovered, proving that they were simply lazy and careless in removing the 45 signs.

Alert | Besides, how safe is it if I'm going 45 and most traffic is going 75-80? Hmmm? Not very I would wager. I'm not going to risk my life because a construction employee forgot to pick up signs.
Lazy I tell you. There are number of times I go through and see 45 sign, and not 500 feet later, a 65 sign. I'm going to go with the flow of traffic, use my brain and not blindly follow a sign. My speed was completely safe. | | Joined: Jul 2005

Alert | This is actually quite funny! I described a line of cars going about 75-80, all tailgating and a near 5 car pileup because of an unsafe knee-jerk reaction of the lead car, yet you guys rip into me for going a safe speed. LOL! |

Alert | | Why would you say prime construction time when they only work at night Jason. 2 days in a row it was 45MPH...as it will be today. you are confused. Get some sleep, you're eyes are going on you.
