 Alert | Just in case anyone will be traveling I-10 during this time:
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is improving the bridge over Interstate 10 (I-10) at State Route 287 (Florence Boulevard) in Casa Grande and has scheduled a closure of I-10 on July 13 and 14. The closure is needed to pour and set the bridge deck on SR 287 over I-10. The closure will be in effect as follows, weather permitting:
Eastbound and Westbound I-10 will be closed from 8 p.m. July 13 to 5 a.m. July 14. I-10 traffic will exit at the off-ramps and reenter at the on-ramps.
Eastbound and westbound SR 287 will be closed over I-10 from 8 p.m. July 13 to noon July 14. Westbound SR 287 traffic will detour to McCartney Road and eastbound SR 287 traffic will detour to Jimmie Kerr Boulevard. The ramps will remain open.
The closures may be shifted one day (starting July 14, ending July 15) if rainfall occurs. The bridge deck cannot be poured under rainy conditions.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed with caution, obey all posted speed limit signs, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
