Drummer72 my comments were not entirely directed towards you. I don’t feel that I am attacking you in anyway. I just happened to disagree with your comments on a few threads and followed up. I assure you I am not intentionally attacking you…

I maybe Wong simply because I am to lazy to look up the law but didn’t we pass prop 200 that allows officers to seek citizenship information during a stop?

To answer your questions a roro (roro14) is the person that originally posted this thread....

Prop 200 "requires individuals to produce proof of citizenship before they may register to vote or apply for public benefits in Arizona."

It is also entirely possible (if this story is true, which I'm not sure about) that his nationality was asked when he could not produce identification. If someone does not have a license, the next logical question would be "where are you from?" This makes sense, as officers can then verify if the subject is licensed in another state.

Either way, the more I think about this tale of woe, the more I'm seeing this as the sort of thing Elias Bermudez is urging his followers to undertake -- a systematic campaign of half-truths and sob stories he feels will help his cause.

Don't forget that the MPD must fill out an accident report. All information contained within must be accurate. That means they must accurately describe all vehicles and drivers involved. I could not tell the difference either and would have said hispanic. Puerto Rican is not hispanic which is so often considered Mexican. This is not a case of racism but of getting accurate information for the accident report.

Also realize that no matter what, witness or none, the grey truck was at fault for not yeilding to oncoming traffic.</div>

Technically, Mexican or Puerto Rican aren't Hispanic. It's just that Spain conquered all these places and decided to force the spanish language down their throats. The correct term would be "latino"...
