I was just told that the road just north of RED is closed. Police are having everyone turn right into RED.
What next?

I just passed it about 1/2 hr ago. the 2 cars I saw were bad. I hope everyone is as ok as they can be. I hope no one needs to leave town for awhile. they were still investigating.

I just got off the phone with the sheriffs dept and she said the road will be closed for another 4 HOURS! (that was at 10:30)
QUESION How is Southbound (coming back) into Maricopa?
Hubby will coming from the 10 and wants to know-Thanks

Does anyone know if you are allowed to get to the 10 down Casa Blanca? Is there another way to get to the 10?

My son just came through south at about 10:30 and it was fine.
He said that it looked like someone went across from south to north and head on into someone one. It is a fatality. There is more in the Driving section.
To get to I-10 if you have to go before it is open, take the Maricopa Casa Grande Highway (from RED south to NAPA and turn left)
Go 12 miles to Val Vista and turn left.
Go about 8 miles until the traffic light at Pinal. Turn Left.
Go straight about 3 or 4 miles and you will be at I-10.

southbound traffic was open when I came home from work this am, just northbound was closed.

I guess they have their reasons, but it seems they should let traffic detour down Casa Blanca instead of having to go all the way to Casa Grande.... dreaming of the day there's more than one way out of town.

Hubby just left and said RED is a parking lot. He's going all the way out past the casino to get into the ball game. Didn't this happen first thing this morning?
