Has anyone else seen this police car?? I saw it Tuesday evening NB 347 had a car pulled over. No markings or lights on top. All the lights were in the grill and part of the back.... Are we really spending that kind of $$$$$$ for police cars???

Not all police cars are ... purchased. Some are confiscated and converted. Probably a homeland Security acquisition LMAO

This is not a Maricopa Police Car. It is either tribal or DPS. I have seen it twice- once on 347 and once on I-10 just North of 347/Queen Creek exit.

DPS does spend this kind of money on unmarked cars so I believe it is one of theirs based on where you and I have seen it. There are also blue and red unmarked camaros, and 2 unmarked full size GMC extra cab trucks in the East valley area.

Border Patrol usually keeps the "confiscated" cars.

Thanks for the heads up.. I will be pissed if I get pulled over by a unmarked car... Sneaky devils

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

The funny thing is they don't. I have lived in a number of states and Arizona and California seem to care less. A lot of states on the east coast setup speed traps. I have yet to see one here.

Oh I've seen plenty of them. The best one was on Pecos Rd. Speed limit was at the awful low of 50 MPH and there was a ton of overgrowth in the median, plenty for 6 Phoenix PD motorcycles to hide in. Traffic would usually go a smooth and safe 65-70, perfect for Phoenix to hit the jackpot on.

Then there is the ditch on 347 southbound after Casa Blanca. You can hide a whole cruiser down there and no one sees it till the last second. Then northbound 347, just a mile or two south of that first curve there are some large plants that can hide a cruiser to catch northbound traffic.

Don't tell me AZ doesn't have artificially low limits with plenty of speed trap spots.

I don't care so much that it's un-marked but that it's a cadillac!!! I was starting to think the reason the city wants to pave their lot so fast is so they could park their caddies!!!!

Well at least they would be easy to out run...they don't handle very well no matter how much suspension work you do to it. HAHAHAHA
