Traffic is backed way up.. Almost to RED my friend said. I just got through it and at work 24 mins late.

Small accident at Rinker light, 2 cars. Someone had to ruin it by not stopping and hitting the car in front of them.. but the emergency crew just hogged the road and traffic is not backed up to RED from Rinker..

When I passed, I was like, that is it?!??

Happy driving!

My husband just got home and he said the traffic is from the 2nd bridge all the way to RED. He said he thinks it's been their a while cause most people were just hanging out outside of thier car. He saw 3 cars in the accident. Hopefully you won't be to late.

I was 2 cars in front of that one. Traffic was moving at about 30 mph approaching the Rinker light and then traffic suddenly stopped. It wasn't an abrupt stop, but if you weren't paying attention, I could see how a wreck could happen. I think the torn up right lane is making people tailgate in the left lane because they don't want someone to pull in front of them and kick up rocks and debris on their car/windshield. I'm guilty of it.

Isn't this how all accidents happen?

It didn't help that the light timing is off again at Riggs. We sat there watching a handful of cars go through when a very short green light would have sufficed.

No. Even among rear-end accidents, there can be mechanical failure, the driver could have a medical situation (such as a seizure, blackout, low blood sugar, etc.), someone could have done a swoop and stomp, and...here's one for you: an SUV could be blocking the view of a passenger car following at a safe distance and then the SUV could move out of the lane at the very last moment, leaving the passenger car approaching stopped traffic at a very high speed (it is for this very reason that I do not like following large vehicles and will do everything possible to pass them).

And that's just rear-end accidents. If you consider someone pulling out from a side street (or any number of other situations), then there are a myriad of other possibilities.

As much as everyone would like to blame one person for an accident, sometimes there's no one to blame. We don't have enough details to say that it was a simple case of not paying enough attention.

This one sucked. I left at 6:30 and got to work @ 8:30. I had to stop and get gas since I burned through what I had sitting there looking at the damn "M" on the mountain wondering, okay, how long is it going to take me today
But, hey, at least it was not a fatal accident.
