you like "beggars can't be choosers", but hubby and I were discussing the paving project. We both had some ideas about it and I wondered if we were the only ones who thought this way.
First: the milling of the old road. It seems like they did a quicky job. Missing large chunks of old road. and it doesn't seem like it went very deep.

Second: the new paving. it doesn't seem very quality. a very thin layer (which we don't think it will last very long? pehaps)

what do you all think?

pretty sure that thin bumpy strip is just a base coat, and a smoother thicker coat may be added on top of it.

the milling is just to rough up the surface, like when you sand something to paint.

i'm just guessing though.

The 1" mill should do the job. They'll be putting rubberized asphalt on top, which has been shown to extend the life of the surface.
