Speed Channel is the best bet. It gets very little American coverage and airtime. Pikes Peak hill climb is the only really big US event that gets additional coverage.
Sucks too. I always wanted to that- the real rally drivers are the best drivers in the world. No doubt about it!! | | "The jouney of life is as much in oneself' as the roads one travels"

its tough, your best bet is through the rally websites and youtube.
americans seem to think watching cars go around in cicles is better.
rally racing takes a lot of talent and a bit of insanity.
grand turismo 4 is good for rally, and the colin mcrae series is ok too.

Alert | I hope Rally catches on here in the US like it does in the rest of the world. For the most of the time its been here in the states, its been mostly an SCCA event but was ended and Rally America has taken over. I've been watching WRC for years and its AWESOME. Not sure I have the balls to stand on the side of the road to watch them race, tho!!!

Alert | I have never been there.. I wish I could take my car out on one of those tracks..
Is the Rally over? Will they do a repeat showing?
| | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!! Joined old forum March 2006 Post count: 3068 + these | |

Alert | | Used to work there. Its really nothing special. the road course is kind of fun but you have speedlimits to abide by. the coolest part about it is the secret cars.

Alert | | Also, that high banking requires speeds over 150mph, you have to have high speed training to be able to drive in that lane. its kind of crazy and actually pretty boring when you ahve to do it for an eight hour shift.

Alert | Have you ever had your tire exploded by remote while driving 120 mph on a high banked oval?
You would still have to pass the Nissan test in order to drive it.

Alert | | wow calm down buddy, i know how things work. This aint my first rodeo. When i worked for JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) in Pasadena we used to have to do control experiments like that all the time. But instead of a 2000 pound car it was usually a 25 ton space exploration unit. | | BUSTED!
