Alert | i tried to test drive from 347 & Maricopa/CG highway, south toward CG, but exit Val Vista, then turned on Pinal Ave, then on to I-10 and then i gave up at the Broadway Curve. it took me about an hour, traffic was okay.

Alert | | Yeah, I took that route when driving to Fountain Hills for a meeting, adding 20 minutes to my commute. | | ** If I'm not authorized to post a reply, does that mean I'm banned from 85239.com? **

Alert | | Why don't you just go down Casa Blanca Road to I-10? | | "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

I've been taking this route every day since they milled the 347. It adds about 15-20 minutes, but I'd rather add the time, then pay for the repairs for windshield and paint chips. Plus, it's nice not having to deal with slower traffic blocking the left lane, morons passing on the shoulder, tailgating, etc. I live in Tortosa, so the 1 hour as compared to 45 minutes going 347 isn't a big deal. I carpool, so by the time I reach any traffic, I'm going right by it in the carpool lane anyway.

TG - Take the Mar/CG Hwy to Val Vista and turn left. It's just past the S curves. That takes you back out to Pinal Ave just past the CG Airport. That will cut almost 10 minutes off your journey.

Why don't you just go down Casa Blanca Road to I-10?</div>
exactly, why do you guys go all the way to CG when you could just get to I-10 from Casa Blanca Rd? Its the easiest alternative in my mind. Unless a 1/4 mile of unpaved dirt scares you.
When you turn right onto Porter from Honeycutt to get over to Smith-Enke, instead of turning left towards town, turn right. The road isnt finished all the way to Power yet, but close enough. Power isnt marked all that well, but it is the paved road that has those two big tin covered shed things. (They look like car ports, only huge) Take that road all the way to Casa Blanca, turn right onto CB and enjoy your trip to I-!0. Takes me maybe 5 more minutes to get home than the 347 did before construction.
