No, never been behind that many trucks. However, even if I did, I would not disrespect everyone else that is waiting behind for their turn so that I can make it to the I-10. I like to follow the rules, cause I wouyld not like the same to be done to me.

I am glad you choose to wait in line, makes it easier for me to jump in front(of a semi doing 1 mile per hour)!!! haha you are a sheep marching to the drum mmmAAAAA (thats my sheep sound)

Alert | | The difference is that when you are driving 40 mph on the 347, there is another lane, so I can choose to pass. However, on a one lane turn, there is no such possibility. Unless you decide to disregard traffic laws and do your own thing. It's funny, I am doing the right thing and I get all the backlash. I would have thought that it would be the other way around. It's crazy how the world works now.

Alert | ok...one thing is a semi, another thing is when there is 10+ cars infront of you. I never mention anything about semi trucks but rather stupid a55 people that are too ingorant or lazy to wait. Do you pull that kinda crap in line at frys or bashas? How about the gas station? Didnt think so. These people know what they are doing and they dont even look at you as they do it and they speed onto the 10 at like 65+ to avoid eye contact. Dont be a prick, follow the rules... | | "...you knew that before you came here"- The 85239.com's stupid answer to every comment"

Alert | | Does it make sense to sit behind a semi when there is usually enough room for at least 12 cars to pass and be totally safe...NO!! You say "you are doing the right thing" No you are just doing what everyone else is doing (sheep). America's biggest problem is the fact that it is filled with sheep (mindless bots) not questioning anything! I could go on but why...This concept is not related directly to this thread have fun stuck in traffic. | | The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Hey darin45 wasn’t addressing you I was telling Lindat, that passing a semi is not the problem. You should take some comprehension classes!! | | The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Carl Jung

Yes, there is another lane at the overpass. It's right next to the turn lane. I go along, find a comfortably large spot and move in. And then watch the driver behind me throw a tantrum because he was too busy on his cell phone to rear-end the car in front of me to keep me from getting in. It's crazy the world we live in: where it's acceptable to ride the bumper of the car in front of you (breaking multiple laws) to prevent someone from doing something that isn't illegal.
However, on a one lane turn, there is no such possibility. Unless you decide to disregard traffic laws and do your own thing. It's funny, I am doing the right thing and I get all the backlash.
You're right it's crazy......that people make up these laws to justify their self-righteousness. There is no law that prohibits you going around on the right and safely moving in.
Do you pull that kinda crap in line at frys or bashas? How about the gas station?
There's absolutely no comparison to a grocery store line and a line of inattentive drivers on cell phones that don't know that green means GO. Like I said, this is not a line at the amusement park.
These people know what they are doing and they dont even look at you as they do it and they speed onto the 10 at like 65+ to avoid eye contact. Dont be a prick, follow the rules...
Huh? 65 in a 65 is speeding? I'll follow the rules, but I'm not going to be artificially offended that someone else made traffic more efficient. Instead I'll be looking in my rear-view mirror watching the line of cars stuck behind the semi that gets up to all of 45-55 at the end of the ramp. And then I can view the ensuing chaos safely from 1/2 mile ahead as traffic going 45 tries to merge with traffic going 75-80+.
Now, I will grant you that there are people that are rude and selfish, but don't paint with too broad a brush. | | Joined: Jul 2005

Oh really? Everyone is just standing there in a line for no purpose? I'll remember that when someones in line at Frys and they are looking at the candybars or glancing at the new "People" magazine at the checkout and I'll just get infront of them cuz they "were not paying attention"... Your logic makes no sense....better yet, I dare these fools to do it while a DPS office is in line...guaranteed it doesnt happen but if you have balls, try it! and we'll see after your fatty ticket, if you keep doing it!

Now that I know your knowledge of cars is CRAP (not a asian car but rather a 1 off, 650 hp 12 cylinder VW that probably cost more than your house), I can move on.
..you continue to drive the way you do, I'll drive my way and hopefully you dont piss off the wrong person.

1) How many grocery store lines have you been in where there is no one going through the line because someone has a cart that is too big for them to push?
2) If you hop in front at a grocery store line, you are automatically inconveniencing everyone behind you. Not so at this turn lane.
3) I have done it with a DPS and and then again with a GRIC officer there. They're not going to pull me over because I do it properly! There is nothing illegal about the maneuver, if done correctly.
...and define "comfortable"...most time 5 feet of space to fit your extended cab dually truck is NOT"comfortable". Thats the crap I'm talking about and I extreme pride my cars and if they hit my car due to idiotic driving, I'm taking them to the cleaners!
And like I said, there are people like that. I'm not talking about them. I'm saying there are situations where it is legal and not unethical/immoral/disrespectful. Comfortably large is where I can fit in between two cars with a decent gap on either side. Such that, when I begin my lane change, I won't be in danger of hitting the guy in front and if the guy behind is paying attention, they won't hit me. But you can bet they'll be the ones going to the cleaners if they rear-end me because they were recklessly trying to prevent a legal lane change. | | Joined: Jul 2005

All the time with motorized carts....and??? Like I said AGAIN, I'm talking about more than just semi's in line.

2) If you hop in front at a grocery store line, you are automatically inconveniencing everyone behind you. Not so at this turn lane

and this is different how??? oh yeah, I forgot the person you just cut off has probablynobody behind them.

I wonder why? Maybe cause you may showed no respect to the person ...and when did "B" line lane changes with 3 feet of space become legal? | | "...you knew that before you came here"- The 85239.com's stupid answer to every comment"

Alert | | I can understand if there happens to be a group of semis in front of you and you don't want to waste your time behind them.. that's fine, they do take a while to get going. I hate being stuck behind those trucks and usually they smell terrible. What gets me is when people cut off other cars clearly because they are making up for the fact that they are lacking in... nevermind... Its funny to watch them speed up and try to cut people off. I often wonder to myself if they do get some kind of gratification out of it... like...maybe they had a terrible day sitting in their cubicle or whatever it is that they do in their 'death of a salesman' life... but at the end of the day, they can think to themselves "you know what...? i may be a tool to 'the man' but at least i showed that honda! and i even got to that early morning i-10 traffic 30 seconds faster than everyone else! good job, me. good job." | | seriously?!

You're just not listening. I AGREE WITH YOU that there are people that do this illegally and inconsiderately. But I'm not one of them. And then you are ready to excuse the illegal actions of someone else to satisfy your desire to see someone not get cut in front of? | | Joined: Jul 2005

Alert | K, um correct me if I'm wrong but last time I checked a SOLID white line means no lane change? This is so ridiculous!!! Every time this has happened to me it has been a blatant act of being cut off, no semi involved what so ever, no amount of "comfortable" space to my definition. C'mon people! Do you get up in the morning and just make it a point to be an inconsiderate a$$? Or is this something that takes place of your morning java; a heaping dose of adrenaline? It's a complete disregard of everyone's safety including your own. Simple as that!!!!

No, double solid white lines mean no lane change. As in, like a double yellow, except white.
