Alert | | Going to work this morning they had small "advisory" 45 MPH signs on the northbound side, and the 65 signs were covered up. I wonder how many people actually thought the limit was 45? | | Joined: Jul 2005

Alert | You spelled "Your" wrong.
Don't pay attention to the signs...just the car in front of me and to the side/back! No one was doing 45 anyhow! If you go really fast, the rocks you kick up hit a lot harder! | | Who's using me, what should we do? Because you can't be a pimp and a prostitute too. - White Stripes

Alert | | I actually drove 45MPH (in the slow lane) coming home today as soon as I hit the first advisory sign. Why? Because I felt like taking advice?

Alert | | Well I took the advised alternate route down Casa Grande hwy to Val Vista to Pinal to i-10 to 143 to 202 to 32st. guess what! 1hr 45 minutes later I WAS AT FREAKING WORK! Not a good idea!! Holy COW! The smell, and even lost cell signal (alltel, I never loose signal), middle of nowhere, took me twice as long, traffic sucked and was late for work- ok that one is normal! So, will be driving the offroad express from now on...see there was a point to that. | | Who's using me, what should we do? Because you can't be a pimp and a prostitute too. - White Stripes

Huh, I took the advice of the posted speed limit sign and didn't drive 20 MPH under the limit. 20 under was certainly unsafe when most traffic was going 55-70 today, at least, when I went home. | | Joined: Jul 2005

I haven't driven it during actual construction times, my original post wasn't about that. However, from what other people have posted here, these areas do not meet the requirements for a double-fine zone. Furthermore, double-fines only apply when workers are present.
I certainly do respect them. I would hope they respect themselves enough to take the time to set the speed limits correctly. I'm not there to second guess or wonder what they actually meant. If the actual speed limit sign is uncovered, then that is the speed limit. | | Joined: Jul 2005
