Are there signs in the work zone indicating that workers are present? Are there signs indicating the beginning and end of the work zone? Are they using real speed limit signs or square yellow advisory signs?

Without those things, they can't issue double fines. Figures, every construction zone I've seen lately has sloppy sign placement, if any at all. You'd be surprised but they actually kept the speed limit at 45 MPH through a construction zone near my office, even while they had the left lane dug up and workers in the hole.

There weren't actually any problems. They set up the lane drop appropriately far back and everyone was compliant with the 45. It was the smoothest construction zone I've been through by far.

Hmmm... well I can see ours is a mess and I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. I didn't realise that they were going to tear it all up and THEN repave it....UGH! just UGH!!

I saw some signs that said "45 MPH". I haven't seen them lately because the are working oposite the direction I am traveling. No construction zone signs.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.
