Forgive me if I've missed something on this forum or in the news, but when did they decide to tear up both lanes on the southbound side? I thought it was going to be the outer lane only on both sides. Are they going to do both lanes on the north too?

Driving home today is going to be nasty.

i haven't read their plans, but i surely expected this. its not as bad as it seams, just some grooves in the pavement.

I called my insurance company and added full glass coverage to my cars yesterday afternoon. Good thing I did because I picked up my first (of soon to be many) windshield chips on the drive in this morning.

As I understand from the other posts from Jason et al, yes they are tearing it all up both directions both ways FIRST. It is going to be an interesting month. I may want to become more familiar with CG in the month of August. It will save my car!

I'm Casa Blanca also.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

You are going to take Casa Blanca and Murphy in a new ride. Please post updates on how enjoyable your commute is while doing this

Just be careful Sinbad & CNC... they specifically said at the 347 mtg, Murphy Rd (along with other tribal dirt roads) was the road to avoid, unless you don't mind getting pulled over by the Rez police and having your whip impounded for min. 2 weeks. I personally hate the drive, but sure cannot afford my car being impounded that long. Anyhow. Good luck.

No Prob. I was actually thinking of trying the route myself, but then remembered the comment from the meeting. So I guess it is not really being enforced too well, hay, that'll work! But, then again, uhhmmm nope don't want to risk it.
