Alert | If you're in Maricopa right now, DO NOT drive on 347 into town. I just came from copa to Ahwatukee and it took me almost 2 hours.. the right lane is closed and people don't know how to drive... Just wanna give a heads up | | Ms. Alksnis

Alert | | I want to know...say "someone" were to go into labor and had to deliver in Chandler, what are they to do? Police escort? "The Driver" is not going to be patient enough to sit in the non moving traffic with a pregnant lady... | | Bye Bye Maricopa!

My wife is going to be within the delivery range while this construction is going on, I've already thought of that and will do the hazard lights and the shoulder driving while I'm on the phone to either highway patrol looking for an escort or Chandler PD.
I've not called for an official response from them but I've seen two news stories on the news in the past couple of months were somebody did just that when stuck in traffic. Don't think they got into trouble...

Alert | | aw, darn, i hadn't even gotten that far in my thinking yet. i'm due october 3, delivering at banner desert. when and where for you guys? i know the casa blanca way, but have been told there is a back, back way to casa blance that doesn't involve 347 at all. can anyone point me in that direction? nick is my first baby, but my understanding is that i should have plenty of time from the start of labor...am i right on this one, that a 2 hour drive might be uncomfortable but shouldn't pose a delivering in the car issue? i seem to recall seeing a motel 6 right near the hospital, perhaps i will make plans ahead to get a room there as soon as labor pains start, probably be more comfortable for the first stage than being actually in the hospital, and as i recall it's only like a block away.

Alert | Things are just tough all over the 347... And only getting worse.
Both lanes in both directions will be torn up... Nice... NOT!!
| | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!! Joined old forum March 2006 Post count: 3068 + these | |
