As I figured, ADOT does not care about one road in and one road out of Maricopa! Expect at least an additional 35 to 40 minutes to your commute! If they are going to shut down the road anyway without any concern for our "Bedroom Community" commuters then why not just add another lane each way, to at least make things smoother when they are done. I live in Tortosa and had to deal with driving to Casa Grande to get to Tempe last year when we were flooded in, I am for sure not going to do it again. The city offered as an alternate route driving 40 miles out of our way to get around the road work, do they really have OUR best interest in mind? ALL ROAD WORK SHOULD BE DONE AT NIGHT, problem solved. I am begining to believe we do not have competent people in power.

why was the lane restruction picked-up so late, the roadway was to have two lanes opened at 1 pm not at 5pm. running late again! at the meeting they said at 1pm two lanes are to be reopened - per ADOT. the city needs to get on this fast.

both mine are already chipped, i guess i'll wait to call the insurance company....

why don't they run 3 shifts and constantly work? then the road would be done in a third of the time.

dont forget to add 10 more minutes to that if you dont live in Tortosa. Casa Grande to Tortosa is a short trip.

TortosaGuy, have you ever tried taking the Casa Blanca exit from I-10, then a left on Power (which is basically White & Parker), it connects to Smith Enke, turn right to Porter, or W & P to honeycutt? Just another option, it seems to be quick enough for a lot of people. I wish Murphy Rd was paved.

it sure is. But once you make the turn onto Smith Enke, there is a dip and about 1/4 mile that isnt paved. Not bad though.
