 Alert | | Can someone please post how their commute coming back in today is/was? I am hearing traffic stories already, and I need to know if I should just go through Casa Grande. Sister-in-law says they ripped up the road and did not fill it in, so now it is backing up. Pleaze someone post, hopefully within the next 10 minutes or so. Thanks. | |

Alert | | Coming back today about 330 was a little brutal but not horrible. It added about 20 minutes to the commute. I just keep thinking of how nice the road will be to drive on when it is done. I just coudnt believe that people were driving like crazy maniacs on the freshly torn up road. Rocks are flying and etc. Dont they realize they can ruin their alignment? Good grief! | |

Alert | Have they even started on the northbound lanes yet? When I came through around 4:00 they hadn't done anything northbound yet - they still just had the 1 lane closed southbound and no equipment or anything on the northbound side.

Alert | I left work in the Chandler/I-10 area at 4:20 and got to the villages at 5:30. Normally its a 20-25 minute drive. For a good part of the drive traffic was doing about 4-6mph, so it was a bit painful.
Did anybody else coming home around this time notice the guy in the gold SUV who thought he was special and was passing everybody on the left shoulder? He was probably doing about 40mph and almost caused an accident when he noticed a big construction/detour sign in his way and decided to slam on his brakes and cut in between my car and the guy behind me to avoid it. After the sign he immediately got back onto the shoulder and took off past everybody else. I grabbed my phone and tried to get video of him doing it, but he was already too far and I couldn't make out his plate #. Gotta love people who can't be bothered to follow the same traffic laws that everybody else does. | | | |

People don't seem to recognize that there is no need to stab the brakes when they've got a 10 second gap and they're only going 25. Which brings up the next item: Speed limit 65, typical speed: 25-35. | |

Alert | | I drove back into the Copa today at about 6:20PM and it was flowing nicely! You get an occasional person who was impatient that insisted on driving on the scored section of road and would sling up a bunch of stones!!! Other than getting your windshield cracked its not too bad!! | |

i left work @ chandler and i-10 around 3:45, the right lane was still closed in 2 places, causing a painful botle neck. i almost think it would be better to leave one lane closed so the traffic can move at a steady 45 mph, instead of the dead stop while everyone is trying to win the race and cutting everyone off causing them to stomp the brake....

Alert | | Per what ADOT indicated to a City Council Meeting was that they are going to do the SB traffic for now. They are supposed to be doing it from 4am-1pm so the dont interfere with rush hour traffic. Obviously that plan is not being done. Then after completing the SB lanes they are supposed to do the NB traffic. They are supposed to work on those form 9pm-4am. Hopefully they start sticking to the plan because traffic being backed up like it has been it not right and we shouldnt have to go through that. Especially when this is planned to last several months for the whole project. | |

Then about 100 yards from Casa Blanca I notice about 15 cars waiting to cross over 347 to come home with us. Besides the occasional person who was driving on the scored section of road and other drivers trying to get into the left lane would sling up a bunch of rocks on to your car and windshield it wasn’t that bad. It’s going to be very interesting when they start repairing the northbound side. Since there is more people leaving Copa in the morning during a more condense time, and coming home everyone is spread out over time. Casa Grande might be a better alternative. Alert | | Some of you might want consider taking the Casa Grande detour. Especially if it took you more than a half hour extra to get home. Plus it will make less of a mess on your car. At 6:30 last night the traffic wasn't bad at all. | |
