Alert | $66 at $4.01/gallon (Thanks Fry's) On a side note, those of you interested in saving money on your commute should have a look at http://www.hypermiling.com - Some of the techniques are plain nuts, but most of them work quite well, even with big engines. I've managed to reduce my consumption by nearly 20% (28mpg vs. 22.5). If you do the math, I'm saving quite a bit monthly. By the way, I'm the guy doing 65-67 using my cruise control. 296 miles since last Thursday night and my tank reads just under half... with a 268hp V6. I may do better than the 28 on this tank, we'll see early next week. My neighbor has his 2008 Chevy Silverado V8 pulling a little over 20 mpg, up from 14-15 just by paying attention to his foot. | | When the only tool you own is a hammer, every problem begins to resemble a nail." - Abraham Maslow (1908-1970)

Yes you can increase mileage just by paying attention. I understand the Hyper miling but it can also be very dangerous since most people are not doing the same they come flying up on you at 80+ when you are doing 65. Hey were you the guy in the left lane this morning that was bugging me by driving slow J/K

Alert | | I converted my truck to Natural gas and fillup and home. I go about 250 miles on a fillup. cost me about $18.00 I think. Never actually figured it out its paid for with the monthly gas bill. My bill went up about $36.00 average a month since I converted thats how I figured $18.00 with to fill a month.

Alert | If you buy gas at Frys, then you should get a Frys gift card. When you buy a $300 gift card they load it with $330. Thats like getting 10% off your gas purchase. Then when add the 10cents off from your Frys card, its like 50cents off per gallon.
