Do people even read these signs on the 347?  What good does it do to the people that drive in the left lane right next to the people in the right lane.  If you are in the passing lane, pass and get over!

Maybe I'm the one forcing them into the left lane. I'm now working on my hypermiling skills. I drive 55MPH in the 65MPH zone and my MPG have increased by over 5MPG. My commute takes about 6 minutes longer and I'm saving copious amounts of gas.

And yes, I stay in the right lane....unless somebody is doing 54MPH. Then I pass at 55MPH. LOL

I also changed my driving habits recently.  I leave early and set the cruise for 57, in the right lane of course.

It has improved my mpg as well.

I do 65 in the left lane which is the fastest I can go and obey the speed limits signs posted up and down 347, If you don't like to be held up slow down.

The speed limit is posted @ 65mph.  If you don't mind breaking that law, then you shouldn't mind passing on the shoulder.

So when I go past people in the left lane that are going "65" and I'm only going a few MPH faster than them and my cruise is set for 65, which one of us is going 65?

It won't be me.  I keep my cruise set at 55-57mph and STAY in the right lane.  There is about a 6-8mpg swing from 55-57mph to 65-67mph.  I would rather leave 5min early and enjoy the 52mpg.

I've had it tested by more accurate means. The more accurate test agrees with those signs...

Either way, you missed the point of my post.

Yea,Jason I see your point. If you are going 64.9 mph then stay to the right. I have a better sign then Slower traffic stay to the right. How about Stay to the right unless your name is Jason. Talk about some one who is arrogant.

How about "Keep Right Except to Pass".

Even if I am doing 80, I stay in the right lane untill I want to pass someone. One less infraction to pay for...

Umm.. I was more thinking of people with major problems with their speedometers and still cruising in the left lane.

You're right, you're very arrogant. I stay to the right unless I'm passing. How about not assuming things that aren't in my post?

diesel...how about paying attention to the speed limit signs as well...or do you selectively choose to follow only certain laws?

Tortosa Guy, how about you be considerate and if someone would like to pass you, KEEP RIGHT!

Why do people feel that they need to be speed patrol? I am not implying about riding anyone's bumper until they get over and then doing 90 the rest of the way home. I am just asking why do people drive in the left lane when they can very easily move into the right lane? Or for the fact that people drive side by side!! What the hell is this? pass and get over it's not that hard.

I guess for the same reason people want to dictate which lane people should use
