ok...there is the value if not in just the fuel...can you see catching up on work for those two hours of commute rather than being behind the wheel and swearing at the drivers around you.  I work in Tempe but would consider the ride for that reason and keeping the wear off of my vehicles.  Another thing I'm pushing for is to work from home a couple of days a week...the reduces consumption and pollution and I can still be productive.  I hope my boss is listening.
