Are Hillary and Barack still collecting their salaries as Senators? Surely they can't be in Washington doing their jobs where they are expected to vote on bills that are 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 thousand pages long, and they only receive them the day before they vote on them.

What about McCain??
Stop thinking of ways to make them look worse than a republican.

McCain is certainly included, too, especially being the multi-millionaire that he is. I overlooked him because the thread of the subject seemed to be Obama and Clinton. McCain couldn't/wouldn't even come home to Phoenix for the Veterans Day Parade in his own home state, which parade is one of the largest in the country.

Is that true? I kind of respected the guy, though I wouldn't vote for him.

I've heard that many candidates did that. If you are going to run and can't fulfill your duties you should give up your wages. I know Romney, Rudy, and I think Kucinic are the only ones who aren't. i might be wrong I don't know for sure. But it's funny how all of them are so rich anyway and complain about the economy but yet still take thousands from the budget they don't need. You think Hillary or McCain would be willing to work unpaid as president for a year like Romney did in Massachusetts to balance the budget. Yeah right. I'm sure they are so concerned for the poor and middle class in this country.

Well said. To make it this far in any presidential race means you have to possess (or have the ability to obtain) large amounts of money. Which means they probably don't give a crap about the poor. Just looking to hook up their buddies with some cabinet position and further their business agendas.

Then vote for him. As long as you vote. Only about 30% of Americans vote.

I never could understand how they were ever able to vote even if they were there. The would need to be able to read them first. hillary just wants her own Monica, obama wants his own mlk day.

Yeah and after last nights debate it looks like he's gonna take florida. He's also catching up in cali. I saw a poll that said he was only 2 points down yesterday in cali. If he wins both states I think the nomination is probably his unless there's a miracle for mccain. I think it's awesome. I think he will be great for our economy and I think he can get stuff done on both sides of the aisle without compromising his conservativism unlike mccain.

All this talk of change by the leading candidates, and yet look at who is running their campaigns. Nothing but old school, more of the same political establishment handlers. Connect the dots people!

The very same people that are helping Clinton, Obama, Romney, McCain and the rest, have been knee-deep in previous campaigns for the very people that have been in office, and some now that need to be out of office. Take a look a who is handling foriegn policy for Obama! Brzezinski. You want more of what that guy has served up to America?

It's insane to keep electing the same type politicians over and over, thinking you'll get a different result.

Ron Paul is the only truly different candidate that even comes close to understanding what really needs changing.

Ron Paul sounds pretty good, but he's sucking in the polls. No one wants real change, because that would mean people would have to work for something.
