1.  Legal good.  Illegal bad.

2.  Taxes (redistribution of wealth) are bad.

3.  There should be a balanced budget and a Line Item Veto.

4.  Universal Health Care is needed for all.  The current system does not work.

5.  We should mind our own business.

6.  Green is the way to go.  Windfall profit taxes for the oli companies and more research on Green Technologies.

1.  Immigration
Build a double fence with electronic survellience and crack down on employers by implement the Arizona employer sactions bill nationwide.

2.  Taxation
I would implement The Fair Tax.

3.  The National Debt and the Budget
Slash all earmark spending... the federal government has no business building bike trails and making pretty parks in Alaska, etc.  The local government can do that.  Implement private accounts on all government welfare programs such as Social Security and Unemployment.  The dollars you pay for those things go to your account and no one elses.

4.  Health Care
Implement the use of Health Care spending accounts that can be invested like a 401(k) and then a privately purchased catastrophic insurance plan with prescription coverage.

5.  Foreign Relations
Finish out the war in Iraq, but use a bit more caution in the future.  If your going to go to war, do it right... blow the hell out of them.  Try to mend relationships around the globe and get away from the "my way or the highway" policy.

6.  Environmental Issues
Provide government incentives to companies willing to lower evironmental emissions.

7.  Defense Spending
Keep the same or increase it slightly.  We need to make sure we are ready for any conflict at any time.

8.  Alternative Sources of Energy Research
Provide a $1B reward for the first company to create a car that gets 150mpg and can seat 4-5 passengers.  Promote the use of nuclear power plants.  Drilling in Anwar should still be an option if needed as a stop gap measure to curb increasing oil prices.

1 - Enforce our laws. Problem solved.

2 - The Fair Tax.

3 - Limit the federal government to the role it was given in the Constitution (with a few exceptions). Balance budget amendment. Line item veto. Set aside a % of the budget each year to pay off the debt over time.

4 - Health savings accounts. Restrict unreasonable lawsuits. Go to a loser pays legal system.

5 - Protect American interest and only American interest.

6 - Set up a world wide consortium of governments and industry (auto, oil, manufacturing) to pool money and talent, in order to develop fuel alternatives.

7 - Spend what is needed to protect American interest.

8 - See #6.

Here's an interesting article on #s 6 and 8:

I guess we'll have to see how well this works when it's actually put into practice...

1.  Immigration

Start punishing Illegals for the crimes they commit.  You would have to lock up less than 1,000 for their crimes and they will start back over the border faster than they go here.  Then build the fence.  Under no circumstance grant Amnesty.  English only as well.  No more press 4 for English.

2.  Taxation

I would like to learn a lot more about the Fair Tax.  It would seem to me to be more fair.  You want to buy a $400,000 Maybach, you pay 10%.  If all you can afford is a Chevy Malibu, that's also 10%.  Much more fair and without the breaucrats.  Would cut way down on our government size, and deceift.

3.  The National Debt and the Budget

Need to cut our budget.  National Debt is unacceptable.  Balance budget every year.  Our government needs to run like a business, not like the instutition that prints the money they spend.  Start collecting from Iraq and other countries that we protect, and pay to do so.  Iraq is a free country now and have quite the treasure.  Freedom isn't free and they can start contributing.  Cut Social programs that reward laziness.  If now you don't receive a welfare check every month and need to work, suddenly Illegals aren't the only one's willing to pick Strawberries.  2 birds with one stone.

4.  Health Care

Show me in the Constitution where it states Health Care is a right.  Although I do believe there are times when we need to help our own in need and provide services, this isn't a God given right.  If you are employeed, you have access, but the question is whether or not its affordable.  Quit giving Illegals free health care, and cut back on frivous lawsuits.  Loser pays for the court fees.  Then health care would be affordable.

5.  Foreign Relations

Continue to work with other countries whenever possible.  Nation building would be out.  Everytime we do this, it seems 20-30 years later we have to do it again.  Help install Democracy where ever possible.  Cut back or get rid of agreements with countries that are helping deport American jobs.  Our citizens would come first for once.

6.  Environmental Issues

Continue to clean up old industrial sites that are polluting or damaging our country.  Support our National parks, but allow drilling in Alaska with strict policy before it starts to ensure safety.

7.  Defense Spending

Continue at about where we are at.  Increase would come to anything combat troops needed and still keeping vital resources at home and any other bases around the world.  Start serious downsizing in the numbers of troops in countries like Germany.  Continue to have a presence in every region in the world, but cut the numbers.

8.  Alternative Sources of Energy Research

Incentives for real answers.  Ethanol isn't real cheaper.  Hydrogen is such a joke, it isn't cost effective or an answer to cut back on Oil.  Nueclear Energy, Wind Energy, more Oil Refineries.  Give our American auto makers great incentives for new technologies.  We can save some of our nations biggest tax payers by give them a new vision for the future.  They are headed into that direction.  Let's give them the push they need.

Be short and to the point, and let some people post their answers before we start arguing....

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.
