I wish there was a way to let you keep every dime you have. I would love to have you denied access to our government subsidized roads, airports, freeways, hospitals, schools, police, fire, food, energy, oil products, military and medical innovations! You could be a one man island!

You purposely misstated my post. I objected to money being taken from me and being given to those who did not earn it. I made no complaint about paying for legitimate government expenses. If we are to have a meaningful debate,you should at least be honest. I will not put words in your mouth and would appreciate if you would not put words in mine. If your only recourse is to falsely attribute statements to me, what does that say about your argument?

There was no mis-statement. Extortion is extortion, whether or not you are getting a road out of it or police services or helping someone in poverty.

Why do you get to define what is legitimate or not?

It's called free speech and democracy. I get to say what I think is a legitimate use of taxpayers money and you get to say what you think is a legitimate use. Then we have an election and the people voice their opinion and the majority wins.

We are not a democracy in the USA. We are a Republic. Try to find in the constitution where it states we are a democracy. You won't find it. We are suppose to be a country ruled by law and not by man.

To be more precise we are a democratic republic. We are a republic because our laws are made by representatives selected to do so. We are a democracy because we freely elect those people. A pure democracy is impractical when the population becomes larger that that of a small town.
