I was just thinking yesterday when I was talking with a co-woker.

G. h. Bush was in office for 4 years.

B. Clinton was in Office for 8 years

and now:

G.W. Bush is in office pulling a 8 year term.

That's 20 years that only two families have ran this country.....20 years!!!!!

Now you have H.R. Clinton running a tight race to get in office. That would make it 24 years of only two families running this country. It just seems crazy like a Mafia movie or something. 28 years if she wins a second term.

12 years under the Bush household:
That's a long darn time for daddy to give son advice and the son watching how daddy did it. You have to think that some of the policies that daddy liked were passed on to the son.

Then there is the husband and wife duel. As a husband myself I know he is getting an ear full when he was sitting in the white house. "Sign this bill" "Pass that health care foor old ladies". You know he would be hearing it a lot. Behind every great man is a Great Woman is how the saying goes... So now she is about to step out in front and call the shots herself. Let's just say she gets a second term that will be 16 years under the Clinton house hold.

Maybe what I am trying to say is ... It's time for a change. I hope I started you thinking about it.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

When we are done with Hillary we can then elect Jeb Bush in 2016 to serve for another 8 years. That puts us at the 2024 election where Chelsea Clinton is now old enough to run and she takes it for 8 more ending the Bush/Clinton legacy after 50 years in 2032.

Sinbad gets the "I Know Maths" Award of the Day!!!!!!

Thanks,
Higgs

Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.

Now who would say such a mean thing about you. You are just a well meaning, misguided young man who needs to be shown the light.

A caller was telling Glenn Beck recently how we needed a change in the White House, endorsing Hillary as the one to bring change, and Glenn of course responded...Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush. Clinton, Clinton? Yeah, that sounds like a change.

How about the system used by the Roman Rep. We elect two Consuls to share power and elect Tribunes to veto the acts of the Consuls. Nothing will get done , but that could be a good thing. For the most part govenment does not solve proplems, it is the problem.

Ok, so I was just thinking (amazing, no?!) earlier today... "I'm a married woman and I know for a fact that if my husband was president, everything would be run from my perspective." This is just the way it is, no president has ever ran this country without the influence of their spouse. Anyone who is married knows this has to be a fact! Think about it, he had to live with her once his term was over, AND he was/is a cheater. You know she has already served her 8 years, just saying!

50 years under the same two families is just WAY to frightening to think about, really it is! Stop the madness!

It becomes worse. Daddy Bush also did a stint in the White House as VP before his presidency.

So if Hillary Clinton gets elected, who is next after her? Jeb Bush? After Jeb? Chelsea Clinton? How about after Chelsea Clinton? Jenna or Barbara Bush?

My head is spinning and I must go lie down.

I think there seems to be a VERY common thread amongst Americans, we all want real, viable change! This is a good thing. We are all becoming far more aware of the system and it's capabilities (both imposed and implied), which can only be a good thing. Let's re-visit a powerful political statement from the past, POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Political party seems to be less and less of an issue for the American public at large. More people are crossing political "lines" than ever before! In fact, more people are voting, even in these primaries, than ever before. We are setting records right now that will go down in American history. 20 years from now, our grandchildren will be learning about this election and the monumental things that are happening in this time.

Let's get ourselves educated and be 100% open minded to all of the information that is available to us. Before too long, the information will not be nearly as easy to get ahold of. No matter where you stand on any particular issue, get educated on the issues in general.

This has been a public service announcement. We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum tyraids! LOL!

Oh yeah, missPolitick, you make a fantastic, controversial yet realistic, point! Jenna or Barabara may very well be a real issue! I'm thinking Barbara, simply because people are so familiar with Barbara Bush (Senior? lol) and just like with Hillary, it's all about name association for those who do not research and educate before casting their ballot.
