 Alert | Greetings everyone,
Please read paragraph 10 of the "severance package" (You can find the link within the related 85239 article). It states that should Mr. Buss have to appear for a deposition or trial on any litigation that occured prior to his resignation, that the fine citizens of Maricopa will have to compensate him for his time.
With appeals, theses cases can go on for years. Realistically we could still be paying for Mr. Buss's precious time 5 years from now.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Alert | If Mr Buss is called tocourt for anything regarding his work as an employee of the City than he would be representing the City and probably should be compensated. The only difference I could see is if he was the one actually charged with a crime. In that case we would be obligated to pay for his legal expenses which we could possibly get back if he was convicted.
Not that I like it, but it is fair and a reasonable compensatoin for any city employee. | |
