21 Reasons Why Sarah Palin Should NOT be Elected Vice-President of the United States :

1) She is a Woman.

2) She does not believe in killing babies, born or unborn.

3) She is NOT endorsed by Susan Sarandon, Jane Fonda, Rosie O'Donnell, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Geraldine Ferrara, Barbara Walters, Helen Thomas, Ellen DeGeneris, Ted Kennedy, Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews, Barbra Streisand, David Letterman, or others who fervently believe in a Woman's Right to Choose (to kill babies).

4) She is married to a Foreigner--a species called 'Native American'--meaning her five children are half-breeds.

5) She has on more than one occasion expressed PRIDE in the United States of America .

6) Unlike decent, self-respecting Democrats everywhere, she has a 17-year-old daughter who became pregnant out of wedlock.

7) She is a member of the American Riflemen's Association / actually owns firearms / and knows how to use them.

8) She has killed a moose, among other animals--and spreads the propaganda that it is hunters, through their license fees, that keep American wildlife from becoming extinct.

9) She often does her own grocery and other household shopping.

10) She drives a car, and flies a plane.

11) She chose to give birth to a defective child, rather than allow a skilled Abortion Doctor to kill it for her.

12) She refuses to apologize for seeking the termination of an Alaskan State Trooper just because he applied  a gentle taser to his 12-year-old stepson (who, of course, happened to be Gov. Palin's nephew).

13) She is inexperienced. And she refuses to admit that her duties as the chief executive in the State of Alaska are nowhere near equal to those of a public servant who was once a Community Organizer, or that of a United States Senator who has carried the awesome burden of overseeing a staff of political appointees.

14) She has a son who is in the U.S.. Military,  deployed to the Persian Gulf--probably making her prejudiced against all the peaceful Muslims in that part of the world.

15) She is on Oprah Winfrey's 'Do Not Invite' list.

16) She professes to be a Christian, but has no 'Spiritual Adviser'-- even though Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who served Sen. Obama in that capacity for 20 years, is now available.

17) She isn't really a 'beauty queen,' as advertised. She was only the runner-up in the Miss Alaska Contest; and Alaska is not a very populous state, anyway.

18) The Obama-Biden ticket is favored over McCain-Palin, 80% to 20%, by our friendly allies in France.

19) Her children are not properly trained in hygiene. (Did you see her 7-year-old daughter shamelessly lick the entire palm of her hand at the Convention, then use it to slick down the hair of her little brother?)

20) She is of mixed English, German, and Irish ancestry--and you KNOW you can't trust the Limey's, Krauts, or Micks.

21) Back to No. 1: This is the one that really galls modern, liberal 'feminists.' Gov. Palin is a Woman, a female-type wife and mother, who shaves her legs, wears makeup, dresses smartly, often cooks meals for her family, doesn't give a hoot about the National Organization for Women or the all-powerful Teachers Unions--and obviously will never, ever fit in as a member of the Washington Elite.

Do we want a person like this to be the Vice President of the United States?

"you betcha!!"

I loved her when she first came on the scene, then I started to doubt her abilities after the first round of abysmal interviews and scathing commentary. Now, I'm cautiously optimistic. I think she has the talent and tenacity to do the job well. She's shown she's a leader and unafraid to do so. No candidate, Prez or VP, has all the right experience. That's why you hope they surround themselves with credible advisors who ARE experts in their field. (Obama has some great resources around him admittedly. I just disagree with what he wants to do.) Ability to lead, use wise judgment and make educated decisions impress me most, and I feel she can do that.

If McCain doesn't win this election, I wonder how well she'd be received in 4 yrs after the public has had more time to follow her career.

She's a conniving hypocrit like the rest of them and will probably cost McCain his election......

I like Palin. I think it's hilarious that many women don't support her. Every time they say why, all they can say is "she wants to take away a woman's right to choose!" Oh noes...so you actually have to take responsibility for your actions! I guess some people aren't used to that. I'm no feminist (thank God!) but as a woman, Palin makes me proud. I can't wait for her to take office, either as VP soon, or in 4 years.

I agree,

Good stuff. she is gonna make a very good VP and make women proud.

Why?

I keep hearing this. "Sarah Palin is a role model to women." "Sarah Palin makes women proud." Maybe Sarah Palin makes conservative Christian women proud because she shares their social, moral and religious values and is a candidate for Vice President.

But the only thing that a liberal atheist like myself has in common with Sarah Palin is a uterus. I'm sorry, but that just isn't enough to make me relate to her on any level, much less take pride in her achievements ...  which are what, exactly? Turning a municipal surplus into a deficit? Flip-flopping on a bridge to nowhere?

Playing whack-a-mole with Putin everytime he rears his head over Alaskan airspace?

Please, spare me the glass ceiling rhetoric. Palin didn't "shatter the glass ceiling"; she was elevated above it — by a man — from political obscurity. No one outside Alaska knew who she was before John McCain tapped her for his running mate. Even the fact that we're talking about her now is his doing, not hers.

Michelle........I first thought that you might feel threatened by another successful woman, then upon completition of your post, it's really a MAN/MEN situation that you are upset about. No one is talking about a "glass ceiling" on this post but you. I guess a liberal atheist is blinded to any belief other than his/her own.....and that's ok........for a while anyway.

A man is responsible for your very existance......do you resent that too?

Sarah has a better track record of accomplishmants than Obama. If you don't think so, you haven't done your homework. There are a great deal of very qualified professional women in our political system, and gender should not be a determining factor on whether they are qualified or not.....ability, desire, ethics and determination...should be a major factor.

But........opinions are like -------- everybody has one....

Have a nice day......

Well put Michelle, but don't forget about her numberous ethics violations in Alaska in only 2 years, her anti-science view, her and her husbands ties to AIP, her complete lack of understanding of the constitiution and what a VP's role is..etc.

This entire post is misinformed drivel.

Numerous ethics violations? Show me the indictments.

Anti-science view? Do you have some proof of that one?

Ties to AIP? That's a lot better than ties to the Socialist Party in Chicago, isn't it?

Lack of Constitutional understanding? She got it right, Joe Biden got it wrong during their 'debate'.

You're dazed, alright, and a little confused, too...

I don't believe she's anywhere near as bad as the media would have us believe.  She ain't perfect, far from it, but it's interesting, though, how they rarely say anything positive or *gasp* own up to propagating misinformation about her.  The "positive" pieces about her are fluff and limited to superficial drivel.

So many of the talking points from those opposed are just plain wrong or twisted to suit their agenda.  She HAS done good for Alaska, and an overwhelming majority there recognize that.

Corman, many women secretly hate other women and rarely cheer their successes. Put a good looking woman on the stand, and they'll hate her even more. Of course, you'll never hear a woman admit that.

Nice try, corman, but I wasn't the one making this about gender. It was DingDong's assertion that "she's going to make woman proud" that I was objecting to. Why should Sarah Palin make women proud? Social conservatives who share her views, Christians who share her religion, Republicans who share her political affiliation ... okay, sure. She represents them.

But she doesn't represent me because she's a woman any more than Joe Biden represents you because he's a man. If Biden becomes our next Veep, are you going to be proud because he has a penis?

I don't hate men and I don't feel threatened by successful women. Your amateur psychology is unnecessary and way off base.

Don't worry Michelle, I won't try and confuse you with the facts when your mind is made up..

No psychology, it just takes two people that have open minds to have any worthwhile conversation. I don't expect that to happen on this subject......or any other subject you believe in.

But, thats ok...........have a nice day......
