BREAKING: Sarah Palin "Winged" Her Speech Because of "Broken" Teleprompter

Image descriptionHalfway through Sarah Palin's speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.

According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks. As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani's speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech.

Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory, to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.

Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved.

Sarah Palin. Winner.

I think ALL politicians should prepare their own speeches. No telepromoter. Or they could wing the whole thing, like an open discussion. THAT would be cool.......

I'm for writing own's speech. I don't see anything wrong with cue cards on the podium that a speaker could use as a guide of points. Sometimes, technology is relied upon too much.

About Gov. Palin's speech, I wondered about the scrolls of the teleprompter. She would pause for pause or other crowd reactions, but the pauses didn't seem scripted or accounted for when the the camera angle showed the prompter. I thought maybe she was doing it from memory.

My answer WAS "NO" to Q#5 and Q#1.

That is funny because on NBC afterword they kept saying things like, "She delivered the speech that someone else wrote for her well," or "Pretty good speech that she delivered that wasn't written by her."

That explains why she had to "wing some of it" and lie about being an advocate for special needs children (evident by her cut in funding to special needs) and opposing the bridge to nowhere (supported until she realized DC wouln't pay for it).

See? You can't think for yourself and you NEED to live via the talking points you get each day

Liberals and media attackers allege that Palin cut special needs funding by 62 percent, by crediting her with the budget proposed by a political opponent.... you know, the republican she replaced? And the truth is that rather than a 62 percent cut, she's actually increasing special needs funding by 175 percent.

Palin's measure raises spending for students with special needs to $73,840 in fiscal 2011, from the current $26,900 per student in fiscal 2008, according to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development.

Speaking of a bridge, I would say the DNC sold you one.

What you said...That's not what happened. Fact is, Alaska took the bridge money, and then spent it on other transportation projects. Palin did make the final call to kill plans for the bridge, but by the time she did it was no longer a viable project. Politifact.com rules Palin's claim is Half True.... so coming from Politifact.com... I'm sure you know better.
