Alert | I do know that hunting has is it rights and it can be a good thing, for food. But from the air? It just seems wrong. If you hunt for sport, which happens, please donate the kill. However, if you hunt from the air, doesn't that take the sport out of it? | | Vote NO on Prop 102

Alert | from the article "Palin allows airborne killing of wolves and bears" Palin does not allow it, the Alaska dept of fish and game does as part of wildlife management. This debate has been going on since long before she was governor. Ariel hunting of wolves is done for wildlife management, not for sport. When the wolf and bear population grow too big they threaten the poputions of other animals and offset the balance of the Ecosystem. Now that the wolf population in Yellowstone have epxploded outside of the park boudaries and into the surrounding states threatening wildlife and farm animals they are faced with similar problems on wolf population control.
I agree that ariel hunting for sport should deffinatly be banned. My family hasl lived and hunted in Alaska for three generations. My brothers are teaching the fourth generation. If you do not plan to use the meat, do not kill the animal. Should be common sense, but you get people up there fresh from the "lesser 48" that are just trigger happy and give everybody a bad name. My brother has 4 kids and uses every bit of meat and fish that they shoot or catch. If I still lived up there and I had the choice of sitting at home watching TV or outside with a gun shooting something that will feed my family for 6 months then I will be in the woods.
No I am not gun happy. I do not own a gun here because I have no reason to have one and since my kids have no eperience they would probably shoot their toes off, or something worse.

Thank you for your insight. I would be feeding my family as well I grew up hunting quail and dove with my daddy. Yep, we ate them too... But thanks for the insight! I was hoping someone could shed some light onto the topic. | | Vote NO on Prop 102

Alert | Now see, there is the difference between us. You hate many Republicans. I on the other hand, disagree with many Democratic policies and ideas, but respect them as people and accept that they think, wrongly, that their ideas are good for the country. Makes one wonder which one of us fits the dictionary definition of liberal - generous,open-minded,not rigorous.

Alert | I was labeled a liberal. I considered myself a person that wants equality for all. Don't know what party that would make me a member of. You're the history buff, you tell me.

Poor? CHANGE it. If you grew up poor blame the parents who didn't try to succeed. Don't blame the government or politics.
Drummer, Drummer, Drummer....
You and I can agree on this "war" we can agree on the corrupt Bush admin. Don't blame growing up poor on the Goverment. We are pilots on how well we succeed in school. We are the pilots in the choices that we make. Sure, we live paycheck to paycheck, but I can't blame that on Government. I blame that on the choices that we make/made.
My husband came from a home where the he was fatherless at the age of eleven. They were poor, they had a tough time growing up. 4 out of 5 kids went on to graduate from College. Three of them have a bachelors degree. One just graduated from ASU with her Masters degree. My husband chose to just finish high school, we didn't make the greatest choices, but you cannot blame that on Government. It is all up to the individual that makes things happen.
We are trying to change things. I am trying to get back to school. It will be a long process. I chose to be a young mom. However, one has to make themselves better, you can't expect the President to do that for you.
I can disagree with some of the Republican platform and I can disagree with some of the Democratic platform. Too bad I just can't register independent or a Liberatarian and still vote in the Primary.
I support and I am voting for Obama, but when you post your opinions, you really make us Obama supportors look like nut jobs. | | Vote NO on Prop 102

Alert | Hey Marni, Arizona now has an open primary system. You can register as an Independent or Non-Declared and go to the polls to vote tomorrow, September 2ND. When you arrive you can ask for a Green, Republican or a Democratic ballot. Libertarians will not allow anyone not registered as a Libertarian Primary to keep their vote "pure". Hope that helps!
