Actually you are wrong in both cases. Obama said that he didn't look like the other Presidents on the dollar bills. Ummm, what was he referring to if not the fact that he is black?
Hillary CONSTANTLY referred to the old and young women she met at her luncheons saying how her run was groundbreaking and history in the making. Ummm, what was SHE referring to if not the fact that she was a woman.... AND married to the first black President? LOL

What he meant was...

...he didn't have one of those white wigs and spandex pants.

The question will be the ratio of votes lost from independents, Regan Democrats and the disenfranchised Clinton supporters to the votes gained from the religious right.. It may save a few normally red states from going Blue, but I am not sure it will be enough to swing the election. Only time will tell.

It is clear that McCain is attempting to change his message again, from experience to change. It is generally hard for an incumbent party from a wildly unpopular president and perceived failed policies to run on a change message and it opens himself up for more criticism.

Well, luckily where you stand is not the be all, end all. Obviously not many people feel the same way as you (unless they are just a bit intidimated by the very popular Republican ticket this year). The way your last post was phrased, it sounds like you think the Democrats are the only ones allowed to run a woman for office. And I am pretty sure most presidents promise some sort of change. Unless the economy and eveyrthing is perfect, and everyone is happy (which is rare), no one wants everything to stay the same. Most people expect some change. And sorry, but I don't see increased criticism for McCain since Palin entered the race. I actually see the opposite, except maybe for a few sour liberals who somehow thought this race (which is about 50/50 right now) was a "landslide" for Obama until now. I guess they were actually believing the media hype behind Obama, a big no-no.

The fact that John McCain named a woman as his running mate demonstrates the obvious desperation of the GOP! Let see, Hilary doesn't get the VP nod from Obama, so lets gets a woman and all the disgruntled Clintonians will vote for us. Yeah that'll work.

I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

So if Clinton had gotten the nod then that would be fine but Palin is a desperate act? Man, you are so indoctrinated by the leftards it is scary. Did you even watch her speech? She crushed one out of the park and you call that desperate? I think the desperate ones are the DNC trying to spin her speech saying she lied. That is desperate and sad... like the DNC's message that they are for change.

Luckily, people like copa newbee make it easy to see the left's desperation to knock McCain's great taste in VP picks. Democrats are funny...
