Wait, you went to college? Well, you learn something new everyday...

But let me guess. Your major wasn't English, Statistics, or Politics, right?

No way that she studied English, that's for sure. Her posts have no sentence structure, lots of misspellings, and generally don't make a lot of sense.

Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander
of the Alaska National Guard consider this.

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile
interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense
Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that
protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks.
It's on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly
classified military issues, homeland security, and
counter-terrorism. Her exposure to classified material may
rival even Biden's and certainly by far exceeds Obama's.

She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State
Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia
incorporated into Homeland Security's counter-terrorism
plans.

Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that
are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska's

proximity to Russia , she may have security clearances

we don't even know about.

According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain
in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used
to keeping secrets.

She can be entrusted with our national security, because
she already is.

Wait, what? I guess you're dumber than I thought. Plenty of ASU students/alumni are conservative. Do you really think only one political party is allowed to attend ASU? I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see that a left-winger thinks everyone in the world agrees with him, and anyone that doesn't is in the minority. After all, left-wingers are so tolerant of others and their opinions...oh wait, until you disagree with them.

I graduated from liberal A.S.U and from all areas, liberal arts.

I could see why people like Rikimaru get their sentiment from. I've been in the liberals lion's den of classes where the professors are spoon feeding the students their propaganda and their disgusting ideology instead of demonstrating a free mind of making decisions for yourself.

What's funny, is that I could have cared less politically, but to champion your school as only liberal like and that there isn't much conservatives or opposing viewpoints - heavily favoring one's ideals and not having another is a major slam against the left party and what they work so hard to represent.

Exactly. It is difficult to be conservative at ASU, especially in the journalism school, but I know my beliefs. I usually just openly laughed when a professor spewed liberal BS. I guess I'm not enough of a sheep to change all my beliefs because a few professors are unprofessional. However, the election in 2004 brought out a ton of Bush supporters, especially during the debates, showing that there are more right-wingers than one would think at ASU.

Maybe you should have applied to a more conservative school?

Some more lame stuff from Moveon.org

Palin recently said that the war in Iraq is "God's task." She's even admitted she hasn't thought about the war much—just last year she was quoted saying, "I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq." 1, 2

Palin has actively sought the support of the fringe Alaska Independence Party. Six months ago, Palin told members of the group—who advocate for a vote on secession from the union—to "keep up the good work" and "wished the party luck on what she called its 'inspiring convention.'" 3

Palin wants to teach creationism in public schools. She hasn't made clear whether she thinks evolution is a fact.4

Palin doesn't believe that humans contribute to global warming. Speaking about climate change, she said, "I'm not one though who would attribute it to being manmade." 5

Palin has close ties to Big Oil. Her inauguration was even sponsored by BP. 6
Palin is extremely anti-choice. She doesn't even support abortion in the case of rape or incest. 7

Palin opposes comprehensive sex-ed in public schools. She's said she will only support abstinence-only approaches. 8

As mayor, Palin tried to ban books from the library. Palin asked the library how she might go about banning books because some had inappropriate language in them—shocking the librarian, Mary Ellen Baker. According to Time, "news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor." 9

She DID support the Bridge to Nowhere (before she opposed it). Palin claimed that she said "thanks, but no thanks" to the infamous Bridge to Nowhere. But in 2006, Palin supported the project repeatedly, saying that Alaska should take advantage of earmarks "while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist." 10

Why? So I could be brainwashed by conservatives instead of liberals? How about professors learn not to rant and rave to their classes about politics when it has nothing to do with the class? I am pretty sure they do that everywhere, and both conservative (yes, they do exist) and liberal professors have done it. It doesn't belong in the classroom.

Drummer, you obtaining "facts" from moveon.org is as absurd as me getting "facts" from nationalreview.com. Find the same facts from an unbiased source and I might be impressed. Until then, no one is putting faith in (or even reading) your list.

At this point, it's not even about facts anymore. Have you read some of the BS stuff others post about Obama? That's all I'm doing is posting crap so others can read it.
I doubt you didn't read.

I actually read the first line, read the first two or three "facts," then did a double take at the source and stopped wasting my time. I have no problem with the ones I did read, as they just show how Republican Palin is, which is great. I agree with most of her beliefs. For the record, I try not to read biased accounts of Obama, either. I figure I can't believe one if I don't believe the other.
