Who hit a grandslam? I only saw two (Not to or too) weak attempts at bunts. Michelle was emotional and spoke about what a good daddy Obama was... OK, so if I need a bed time story I'll call Obama.

Hillary said NOTHING about Obama's abilities, just that we need a democrat in office. She has said time and time again that she has no confidence in Obama as Commander in Chief and guess what.... she didn't say she HAD confidence in him last night. The only thing I saw from Hillary was a very well put together speach about how she'll be running next time and that this was about women's right to vote... and a Hariet Tubman quote.

Were we watching the same DNC recruitment video?

As for slick Willy's speech, I'll bet you a cigar that he says 2 things, McCain is the same as Bush and Obama is for change... whatever liberal socialist change that might be. Lets bet. If Willy is such an Obama supporter then why is it already being reported that he won't be attending Obama's prom, I mean acceptance speech?

I am just loving these Hillary supporters that say they will NOT vote for Obama... check them out: http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=1575 PUMA as in Party Unity My A_s

Hey- its not Obama's prom. Its his superbowl half time show. What a joke. I hear he will be on a moving platform, that will move like an elevator, bringing the chosen One, (Barrack "Don't say my middle name you racist" Obama) to the stage for the halftime show. How offensive to those that want politicians to do some good, not just put on a campaign performance.

And I thought he was the man of change? Why is Springsteen playing at the show? Same old guy that played with Kerry. No Change there.....

Lastly, is Barrack opening for Springsteen, or is Springsteen opening for Obama? Hard to follow this whole charade. What a slap in the face to those that believe politics should be about the people and not personal egos.

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

The democrats have done nothing even close to hitting a grandslam. As a matter of fact, the polls have shown Obamas support is decreasing which is a bad sign during his own convention. Obama has some work to do and the dems have alot of work to do, and so far they are dancing around preaching the same message with nothing new. They havent figured out that they have to spend more time building up their candidate instead of bashing the other candidate. Every political strategist has said the convention has been fairly ineffective so far. Thje problem is, everyone seems more interested in Obama VS the Clintons, than Obama VS McCain. They need to change their focus or they will blow it completely

In all fairness I think the DNC is going quite well, I anxiously await the Republican convention to say what they have to say. I saw alot of veterans give speeches that spoke volumes.

Drummerboy, relax there skippy, you'll live longer. LOL And I am the angry one?

So if you don't like something then you burry your head, make la-la-la sounds and pretend it doesn't exist? EAR MUFFS, EAR MUFFS!!! Does that work for you?

I watched the speech and kept expecting the orchestra to start playing while a model helped Obama off the stage. I mean come on, how freaking funny is it that Britney Spears' set designer designed the Temple of Obama? I laugh every time I think of that.

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/08/28/report-britney-spears-set-designer-built-obamas-invesco-stage/

Bottom line, Obama said NOTHING last night. In a nutshell he said, "Whatevers wrong with the country, I'll fix it. Whatever is OK, I'll make it better." Tell me I am wrong. I would say that Obama is nothing but a politician but he is more than that. He is a celebrity politician with socialist views and SEVERE racist tendencies.

Dude take a chill pill.  People might be actually watching it because they don't hate Obama.

Where's the grand slam? On Wednesday, Gallup reported that their new polls show that McCain not only gained several % points, but actually took the lead on Obama DURING THE DNC. Until this year, no republican has ever gained in the polls during the DNC let alone went from behind to ahead. This is from Gallup too, not Fox, CNN, or polls ran by party polsters.
I watched Obamba's speech last night and I thought he did quite well. These next couple of months will be interesting, especially now that McCain picked Palin as his VP runing mate.

I think it's amazing that our country led by President Clinton improved by leaps and bounds. Looking at only the one issue, the surplus Clinton left us which was reduced to a severe deficit in just a short (Bush) period of time. Who wants to continue that? Some of my friends and family don't share my political party~ but we share similar values~ and we share our disappointment in the Bush administration. In any event, I DO think that President Bush has done his best. Sometimes it's just not good enough. I personally don’t want to deal with more of the same. I am not anti-Republican. I am however, concerned that we will have another 4 years of the same disappointment if he is elected.

Well, luckily for you, Bush is not running, so you will not have to deal with more of the same.

Your post comes as no surprise. You assume that if someone disagrees with the political ideas of another, then he must hate him. That notion says more about you than those who you accuse of hate. You are the one who is equating disagreement with hate. I notice that many on the left have that same idea. Just last night, one of the Democratic talking heads said that if Obama does not win the election it will be because of racism. he was saying, in effect , that if you do not vote for Obama, you are a racist. It seems inconceivable to many on the left ,that many Americans just do not agree with his left wing agenda.

I do not support the ideas of, and will not be voting for, Obama or McCain. According to your idea I must hate them both. Or, could it possibly be that I dislike the policies that both advocate?

I think the DNC covention went pretty well. This is all including Obama's awesome 44 min speech.  I met some republicans that even felt their head turn when they heard Obama speak.

Hey wompus, you may have watched the same video but evidently your audio feed was from your favorite right-wing nutjob talk show host. That is your loss.

The RNC is going to be so boring. It'll be like watching paint dry, only worse. Nothing like seeing pale ol' white dudes wearing ties, and pretending to laugh at republican jokes.

"Ahhhaa, that was a good one Chester"...

I wonder what music they'll play? Something very patriotic like 'Born in the USA" or  "Little Pink Houses"

I have been watching the RNC and, as a Democrat found it really difficult to watch without bias. However I did see some valid points. I see both sides and understand they both want what is best for the American people. I know enough about the Democratic party to know that there was a lot of 'withholding of information' regarding qualifications and even some outright lies; but I don't know enough about the Republican's to know if the Dem's are doing the same thing. But that will change in the next few days. However, if the allegations against her are proven (in the Wooten case), then I don't blame her . . I would have done the same thing considering the circumstance. But I'm not running for office. Unemotional response is absolutely necessary in a time of crisis. Especially for someone with that kind of power.
