Interesting that he is traveling to Iraq with these two.  Both would make his ticket a lot more credible.  I know that the far right will bash Hagel as being a conservative Democrat and the far left will back Reed as being a liberal Republican, but this certainly makes you wonder.  Would Obama reach across party lines?  Will Obama take someone from a non-swing state?

I have to think that if Obama picked Hagel that McCain may reach out to Lieberman.  Otherwise I think McCain has his mind made up.  It is a matter of time before he announces that Crist from Florida will be his running mate.  What a way to appeal to the Christian right.....Crist be with him.  LOL!!

Both those potential VP's have served and one was in Vietnam. So, this should shut people up that play the "patriot" card.
