The Jackson comment could turn to Obama's advantage. As he is now trying to appeal to the more moderate voters (as all nominees do once they have the party nomination), being attacked by a far left race -bater like Jackson, make Obama look moderate by comparison. It's a win,win, for Obama. He has the black, and far left vote tied up (where else can they go) and Jackson's rant will earn him white moderate votes.

It all adds up to brilliant strategy;

Jackson takes a hit for the team.

Jackson Jr. moves to the top of the "I was there for you" list.

Obama stays the course, earning the moderate votes.

Big group hug and lots of fist bumping come November!!!

I read yesterday that Obama plans to spend an unprecedented $500 million dollars from the end of the Democratic Convention until Election day.

Looks like the games are over for McCain!  I hate that, because I honestly think he is the lesser evil.

Obama is the "media darling".....but, that does not make him the best person to lead this country. The person that McCain picks as his VP choice is critical to his campaign, and the country, because he will be a one term President.

The magazine cover that is causing such a stir, is simply a SATIRE, and I applaud the editors for having the courage to publish it, as a SATIRE!! IF....a magazine cover had "lampooned" McCain, not a word would have been said...because it is a SATIRE. BUT, because the "media darling" was featured, every "card" in the deck was used as protest. McCain voiced his disapproval of it, as he should have......but it was political SATIRE.

When, and if, McCain wins the election, what will be used as political "excuses/cards" by the media? Let's not forget the real reason for electing the best man.....as a large number of politicians have done, by adopting the "what's in it for me and what will I be worth when I leave" attitude.

The politicans that support "by the people-for the people" should earn the elected vote. Just because a politician says it, or a celebrity says it, or the media says it.......doesn't make it so unless the PEOPLE realize the benefit. It's "gold mining politics" presently......the politicians grab the gold, and we get the shaft.

We will probably have the largest voter turnout for the next election, that we have ever had, providing people can afford the gas to drive to the polls, and they are well aware of why they are voting, and what they should expect. NO free lunches, no reparations, no excuses....just a unified effort to bring things to a sanity level.......

Oh come now......

Why is Obama doing this?  Really you know the answer already.

There will be very very very few black people in America who will not vote for Obama.  He can do whatever he wants but trust me, he will get 90+% of the black vote no matter what he says or does.

Which is racist by the way.

So why not pander to the idiots out there.  "Oh look honey, that Barack boy isn't THAT black, look at what he said.  And it's TRUE too.  We can vote for him!"

So using your logic, 90+% of white people will vote for McCain?  And who will the latinos vote for?  And what about the Asians?  I think saying a whole race will vote for a candidate just because he is of the same race is rather ignorant.
