Jesses Jackson lets the world know what he really thinks of obama.  He wants to cut his nads out. It's about time he spoke some kind of sense.

People speak the truth, when they don't think anyone else is listening.  His apology is a fraud.  He's only sorry, because someone heard him.

There are thousands of great, great Americans whose skin happens to be darker than mine.  Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama aren't among them.  Just my opinion.

I do believe that there was a lot of envy and jealousy behind Jesse Jackson's remark.  He is no longer in the limelight of all things African-American.

Regarding his comment that Obama is talking down to blacks, I think for the first time a black man has had the courage to standup and tell (especially black men) that they cannot continue to hide behind history and predudice, but need to make their own success and not plead a cop out as to why they are not successful.  Many other races have had discrimination as a hurdle, but managed to overcome it.

It does sound alot like Cosby. This is probably much the same reaction Jackson had when Cosby was saying the same things. As soon as Cosby came out and said it, then all the sexual harassment rumors started coming out. The timing really made you wonder then who was really behind all that. Maybe now we know.

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

The Jackson comment could turn to Obama's advantage. As he is now trying to appeal to the more moderate voters (as all nominees do once they have the party nomination), being attacked by a far left race -bater like Jackson, make Obama look moderate by comparison. It's a win, win, for Obama. He has the black, and far left vote tied up (where else can they go) and Jackson's rant will earn him white moderate votes.
