Its because of him, that me who is only 13, will most likely never get to see most of my family who lives in ohio. the reason is that we cant afford tickets because gas prices made tickets go up.

Ever wonder how your enemy always kills you? Maybe it's because your gun SUCKS!!! You ever thought about that?!?! HUH!!??

I'm sorry you will NEVER get to see most of your family in Ohio. Perhaps next year will be a better year.

But at the ripe age of 13, perhaps you should spend more of your time learning how to behave in a public setting. Swearing is most inappropriate as is your reference to guns.

And when you master the fine art of properly addressing adults in a public setting, I suggest you move on to the proper use of punctuation and grammer.

Everyone is feeling the economic pinch, not just you and your family.

While I certainly empathize with you - I think its tough for a 13 year old not to see his family for long periods - I think at 13 you should develop your analytical skills to reason why is GWB to blame for high oil prices.

Mr. Thingy,
I totally understand why you would be uspet. But, focus all that negative energy towards Iraq.
Ask your parents why Mr. G W Bush is killing our soldiers for a reason we have yet to discover.

One more year and you'll be able to get a part time job

Haven't you heard? Iraq has WMD's!!!! There are terrorists coming to kill us. Didn't you get the memo that it was Iraq who attacked us on September 11, 2001? Didn't you get the press release that Saddam Hussein had something to do with September 11, 2001?

So it's all Bush's fault? Where is the Democrat's "commonsense" plan that they promised would lower gas prices?

Yep. My SIL gave my daughter a tour of her house in South Korea. Webcams are cheap or so I hear.

Dude, why are you arguing with a 13 year old? At 13, I had no commensense and I still think I don't...

Passing blame is not the answer. You should use this situation as a learning experience and as motivation. When you grow up work hard, if you don't have enough money to buy what you need, then work harder. There is nothing wrong with working 2 or more jobs, lots of people do it! You can make sure that your kids will be able to take a trip to see their reletives if they want to. But don't pass blame, take personal responsibility.

Bionicbunny--
Typical rubbish!
Maybe Thingy's parents do work two jobs. Why are you so quick to assume that Thingy's parents are not working hard enough to take him/her too Ohio? FYI-- in these economic times, there are plently of families working extremely hard that can't afford a getaway.

People that say something like this, tend to be people that have no idea what it's like. Sure, get a second job. That doesn't solve anything if your wages for both jobs don't equal ONE good jobs wages. I always loved the "personal responsibility" card republicans play all the time. Not ALL dems/liberals are lazy and I am one that wants no hand outs, works 2 jobs when needed and is sick and tired of people thinking "we" want hand outs.

I spent many years working 2 and 3 jobs so, yes, I do know what it's like.  Maybe if you are working 2 or 3 jobs and they don't equal one good jobs wages you need to reevaluate your situation.  Making good decisions is another very important key whether we're talking about career path or budgets, your priorities need to be not only in order but realistic.  You can't always get everything you want but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

** I'm not sure why you threw the "dems/liberals are lazy" thing in there, I never said anything even remotely similar to that in my post.  Why are you so defensive of your political choice?

Are schools really teaching students to play the blame game these days? Or is it your parents feeding you that BS?

When I was 13 only the rich people could afford to fly.  It was considered a total luxury, not an entitlement.   I'm sure you will be seeing your relatives again, even if it means someone must drive and an adult may have to save up some extra cash for the purchase of gas.  This is a classic example of how our culture has become used to instant gratification.
