yes, drummer I GET IT  Just not the way you think I should "get it"  Your personal attacks on me are not humorous.  I find you very obnoxious. I am sorry if I mis-spelled any words here.  I wanted to say that upfront, because I am sure if anything I write is improper you would let me know!  I am sorry for all the rude things I have said to you, drummer72.  The last thing I wanted to do was stoop to your level.  Please accept my apology, and now I have to ask you!-  Do you "get" my sarcasm?

The McCains aren't hiding anything.  She files a separate return and isn't running for president.  If you don't want to vote for McCain because of that, then don't.

I kind of admire the fact that for 28 years they have filed separate returns... and that she had a "pre-nup" when they married insulating her funds..... Good on her!

I'm sure the pre-nup was her daddy's idea since he is the filthy rich one. But, still a good idea!

Either CBSNews is part of the liberal media or they're fair and balanced.

You really can't make this claim by that one story. It could be that they are one, or the other, or niether or both. I think all it really shows is that they did not like John Kerry that much. Regardless, Cbs, via Dan Blather, treated President Bush far worse than they ever treated Kerry. Manufacturing news is hardly fair and balanced.

So, were the Republicans intrusive and perverse in 2004 when they demanded Theresa Heinz Kerry publish her tax records? If they were, how does that make them the morally superior political party in America today?

This comment is just absurd and has no grounds.

As for Mrs McCain and her taxes, well she isn't a candidate and like Rich Tig said, if you don't like then don't vote for John. I remember Billy Clinton not releasing his medicial records.

How bout we discuss areal issue? How bout mandatory Helath care? We allready have a doctor shortage, I hear no candidate address how we will encourage more people to be doctors than we have now after a government takeover. Will the government lower the standards to be a doctor? Import more foriegn doctors? Do what the Russians did and make people be doctors? What??

Maybe I should clarify my post.
My husband works for the company that Mrs. McCain's father started. Mrs McCain took home a record double digit million dollar paycheck from the company last year, while that same company CUT my husbands pay by 25%. They cited "rising costs".
Perhaps Mrs McCain could have taken a slightly smaller check so my husband and others he works with can still pay the bills.

If you can't spot the loser, it might be you

OBG- You are right! Thank you for the heads-up . I really am done with the troll
Now, on to the topic at hand! YZ- My husband works for a company that the CEO took home a 10 million dollar Christmas Bonus last year. While I have to say that her Daddy did screw your husband and his co-workers, that's life. That's why the rich get richer, and yes, our husbands do all the grunt work, and the creators of the company reap the benefits. Look at ANY and ALL corporations. Even though my husbands employer has screwed him and his fellow co-workers over the years, we still have them to thank for the 401K and pension. We have to look at our glass being 1/2 full and not 1/2 empty. Cutting your husbands pay by 25% is really really tacky, and I agree that her Daddy could have paid her less, but welcome to Corporate America!

YZ.. you do know that Cindy is the controlling stockholder and chairman of the board right?

...she doesn't really get a "salary" she gets paid by how well Hensley & Co. does.. and what she gets paid has nothing to do with your husbands salary... Your husband doesn't have a "stake" in the company... or at least not a significant one as compared to Cindy..

In a capitalist economic system an employer has the right to set a wage scale in which he decides how much a given job is worth to him. You, as an employee, have the right to decide how much you want to be paid for doing that job. If the two of you do not agree, he gets a different employee and you get a different job.

O.K just a little research I did about 3 yrs ago. Mrs. McCain is the Heir to anhueser Busch. . Her father became rich during the prohibition selling illegal beer... at the time He was the top henchman for a one Kemper Marley who at that time was a lieutenant for a phoenix gambler and mobster Gus Greenbaum who was a protégé of a one Meyer Lansky and Samuel Bronfman... MOBSTER’s people …all of them. There is a reason why they say behind ever great fortune ……is a crime……

Wow, Fania all stars did a little research 3 years ago. I know that research was wrong. First off Prohibition was in the 1920's and Jim Hensley started the his company in 1955. Also Mrs. McCain is not the heir to Anheuser-Busch. She is the heir to Hensleschy which is a wholesaler of Anheuser-Busch. Here is the web site that I got that info from: http://www.abwholesaler.com/hensley/AboutUs/AboutUs.

MissPolitick, what is considered "filthy rich". That sounds like you are one of those wealth envy type of people. Jim Hensley had an idea. He put that idea to work. He worked long hours and invested a lot of money into the company so why can't the family benifit from that? You to can go out and start your own b

He worked long hours and invested a lot of money into the company so why can't the family benifit from that? You to can go out and start your own bussiness just like every one else who owns a company. There is nothing to stop you but your own insecurity. I know of all the headaches and hard work that goes into starting a bussiness because my dad did it with very little money.
