Wow!  I had no idea Bush and Cheney were that evil and that powerful.  Maybe that email I received a few days ago warning me that Bush and Cheney intend to overthrow our government and become co-dictators wasn't as far off the mark as I thought.  Oh my gosh!

Be careful what you post. I hear the 2 of them are so powerful that they kill anyone who gets in there way. They will stop at nothing, including ordering hurriances, levy's to break, even wildfires.

That must be how they have 100% approval ratings. They just kill off anyone who doesn't agree.

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

From a few of the intelligent people that commented on the original Digg story, read em en weep (PS, the story is listed as Inaccurate on digg, but hey who cares about accuracy when you have some Bush bashing to do.):

"I'm not a Bush supporter but I'm calling bs on this one. 9/11 and inheriting a recession from the dot com bursting bubble had a far greater impact than any president (who is essentially a figurehead) could possibly have, and lets remember something... most of the aholes in this country were FOR THE WAR when it started. Thats why 98 senators voted in favor of authorizing the use of force. Calling it Bush/Cheneys occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan is passing the buck. Either way you stand on the issues, this "article" is completely devoid of anything that could possibly be considered empirical."

"FTA: Bush's tax cuts for the rich have reduced annual tax revenue available for public needs by $300 billion each year.

According to the facts: http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.html The richest Americans pay more taxes now than they did before Bush was elected. How can there be tax cuts for the rich if the rich are paying a larger percentage of the tax bill? In 2001 the wealthiest 1% paid 33.89% of the tax bill. In 2005 (last year for tax figures) the wealthiest 1% paid 39.38%. Does no one call you on your facts as long as your bashing the current administration? An earlier submitter joked about this being marked as inaccurate because of moronic bush supporters. I hope that someday it will cross their mind that the article was marked as inaccurate because it was.

Also, if tax revenues have gone up how can you claim that tax revenue is down by 300 billion per year?
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/13/business/13deficit.html?_r=2&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin&oref=slogin "

Bush and his economic polices are bad, but this article is garbage.

Thanks,
Higgs

Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.

I can't believe with Zadi's comments that this thread is still here. Is 85239.com off for the weekend?

Drummerboy- I have a feeling that if the majority of people on this forum where liberal leaning, you would suddenly become conservative leaning. It is easier for you to make the types of statements you make going against the majority.

That article is false in so many ways. And ignores huge factors that effected our economy.
1. The attack on the WTC effecting the entire worlds market but primarily our own.
2. Katrina, this nations worst natural disaster.

Sounds kind of like all of the global warming nuts leaving out the largest contributing source of heat on this earth.. the sun.

But hey, what ever fits your agenda right?

And the part in the article about heath care? Are you effing kidding me? Have you ever recieved health care out of the United states? It's not like Michael more says it is. Even the private hospitals don't have the quality nor the technology that our hospitals in the us have. You want to improve health care? Start making people pay for it. We spend billions a year paying for illegals health care that aren't even citizens of our country.

"Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" said Ronald Reagan in the 1980 election against Jimmy Carter. I guess that means Reagan blamed everything that was going wrong in the country and the Iranian hostage crisis on Carter. If it's good enough for Reagan to use against Carter in 1980, it should be good enough for Democrats to use against Republicans today.

I think Reagan also negotiated with the Iranian hostage takers. They would release the hostages if Reagan would send them guns. If those same guns sold to the Iranians were then given to Al-Qaeda to be used in Iraq against US troops there, then I guess you could say that Reagan's guns are killing our troops in Iraq today.

I am no where near a Bush supporter, and consider myself an independent even though I am registered Democrat becuase of the voting laws here in AZ. But more often than not, the economy works despite what the president does. Government has a lot less to do with the ups and downs of the economy than most people think. That being said, if you are going to put the state of the US economy at the feet of the president, don't forget to throw a alot of that same blame on congress and the fed.

Lol, so true. Don't forget, as the wise Kanye West once advised us, Bush and Cheney hate black people, too. That was why they ordered the hurricane. Is it any wonder that the gruesome twosome also invented racism? If you can't see that then you must be a crazy right wing religious freak.

Actually Kanye said that Bush hated black people due to his poor response to Katrina. When you put an unqualified crony in as head of FEMA you really don't care much about disaster recovery. He never said anything about Bush and Cheney ordering a hurricane.

The funniest part of what Kanye said was Mike Myers reaction when he was standing right next to him. It was classic.
