do you need an urban lakes permit or just a state license... and does anyone actual patroll there? Ya know to enforce the catch and release?

You need urban permit/kids no permit.

I don't think anyone patroll's there.

That is incorrect RobertB.

You need a State General Fishing License. The pond at Pacana Parrk is not one of the state run Urban Lakes, and therefor you do not need an Urban Fishing License. It is a catch and release only, and if you fail to release that is poaching. I don't know about patrols, but honest sportman will surely call 1-800-GAMETHIEF.

A resident license is only $23.50.

Well hopefully people will stop pulling them out of there. I wouldn't ever eat one out of there. Isn't it reclaimed water... ew..

Stop pulling the fish out and throwing their trash in. I saw a dead tree over there not to long ago with the wooden pole stacks still attached with the cables. Ever heard of a dumpster they are everywhere come on now.....

Thank you for the right info. I'm wrong.

That doesn't happen to many times.

Who caught what this week?

At what time of day?

What bait and technique did you use?

I caught two Channel Catfish and one Sun Fish. A small catfish and a sun fish with raw shrimp, size 1 hook, small weight, no bobber. Big catfish with this preformed stinky bait I bought, same line set up.
After catching the Sun Fish, I tried changing to a much smalle hook, with a bobber, to try to catch more sun fish, but it didn't work.

I love fishing for catfish with raw shrimp or chicken livers. It helos if they've sat in the sun a while.

I used multi. colored samon eggs that come in a jar with a small hook and bobber in another pond. Worked good.

I only keep the fish long enough for my kids to touch them I'd guess it was 14-16 inches long. It was no monster, but it was bigger than the first

I've taken my soon to be 3 year old fishing the last 2 weeks. He looses interest after a while (due to the nearby park) but the 3-4 lb cat we pulled out the 1st time definately excited him. Second trip didn't go as well as he filled his diaper about 10 minutes in. They were hitting pretty good in that short time on chicken livers, but we came up empty. We'll be there again tomorrow at 6:30. Good times indeed.

pulled out 6 cats in a little more than an hour. They were all in the 1-2 lb range. A 4-5 lb'er broke my line wen I was trying to pull him out of the water. Should have known better and pulled him out by hand. Used chicken livers.

Was at Fry's sat. they had chicken liver on special dirt cheap.

The way I was told was let it sit in the heat a little and get rotted and stinky then freeze it and use it.
