Jack Elway will be playing for ASU, not sure if they are redshirting him the 1st year, but sounds like he's following in his Dad and John is following in his father's footsteps.

He should redshirt, cuz Carpenter's the starter, whether I hate it or not.

We were ironically discussing this yesterday at the ASU game. I know he's only like a 3 star recruit...I don't think he'll be the next Andrew Walter. We came up with this; outside of the Manning brothers...what sons have really ever been more successful than their fathers??

We think that QB sons are usually spoiled...should fit right in after Carpenter!!

I also am a little worried about some of Erickson's recruits.

Are half these guys even going to be able to get elligible??

I want a Top 15 program as much as anyone...but I don't want it to be left on probation in a couple years...either.

Can't think of any NEZ, but I do know Jack Sr. coached John all the way, from the time he was a kid. Played a big part in both his high school and college career, So if John is doing the same for Jack Jr. maybe he will come close to his dad. Only time will tell. I agree he should definitely redshirt, the question lies with if ASU wants to use the name as ammo.

Erickson can recruit talent...so I don't think they would need to lose Elway's redshirt year for that.

Sullivan should be the backup..and there should still be a couple of SO guys from Cali on the team.

I think Elway will need the 4 years of school if he's to make the NFL...it's not like a Tebow thing or the kid from LSU...worrying about having to play them their Freshman year cuz you will have them for only 3 years.

We have Georgia coming to town on the 20th...I'm already pumped. Stanford will be here on the 6th...if you are thinking about any type of Elway reunion.

Carpenter "Hate him" Never liked him in the first place. We need a real leader - get someone new or we will end-up in the Sun Bowl or worse.
