A little birdie told me this week that ASA will not be starting up until June/July so with that said the girls that are not signing up for little league will have nothing to do until July and then if we do have our girls sign up for LL then the girls that go to all stars will not be able to play ASA. Now I am not sure what I am going to do. To play in the summer like that is going to be hard. We had girls last year dropping like flys because of the heat and having games at 2 in the afternoon.

Has anyone else caught wind of this or do you have more informaion to add?

3Kids and everyone else....please hang tight for another few days. We'll have a formal announcement posted to www.cityofmaricopa.net with all program details. Registration for girls ASA softball starts in March, practices in May and games in June. There will be several 1-day placement practices throughout the spring. Also, girls signing up in our program will receive a bat bag, uniform and more. So again, please ignore little birdies, whispers and allow us to finalize all plans and please check www.cityofmaricopa.net for all details.

Many thanks!

So, let me understand that the ASA league registrations are in March and games start in June (wouldn't Sept be cooler or does that create a conflict with the soccer program?).

If this is going to be ASA and through the city, how competitive is it going to be? Is this going by age groups 8u, 10u, etc...or just older girls? How much traveling is involved? Is it going to be a real ASA and get the ID cards? I know it says "more" and yes I read the post before that we just need to wait a "few" more days, but these are things that I hope are answered when posted on the web site.

I would also like to know what the confilcts are if my girls are all ready signed up for little league. Does it create a problem for ASA or LL?

Thank you, and hope someone has answers.
