I hope we beat them the second time they play but it will not be easy on their court. However, I hope this season signals the turn-around that the ASU Devils BB sorely needs. It's time for them to become a winner again.

I'll say Oregon State pulls out a 3-peat.

NIT Baby!!! Otherwise known as "Not In Tournament". I applaud ASU for beating the Cats twice this year, It was bound to happen eventually. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. What all of you ASU fans need to understand is that an invitation to the Big Dance is earned by a complete body of work, a resume if you will. ASU's resume just didn't cut it. They need to start scheduling the best. It doesnt matter that you can win 25 games if they are against sub-par teams or even decent teams at home.

The Cats (Lute) are very smart when it comes to scheduling which is why they have made the tourney for 24 straight years. It is not necessarily who you beat, but who you play. I believe they had the 2nd toughest schedule in the nation. UofA played at Kansas (1 seed) and lost in OT by 4. Played @Memphis (1 seed) and lost. Won @ Illinois (Always a tough place to play) won @UNLV and beat Tex A&M (both tourney teams). Finished with an RPI 0f 29. ASU was in the 80's wasn't it.

ASU lost badly @ Illinois, lost @ nebraska (not a good team) Beat the likes of Cal Poly, Florida ulf Coast, Montana St, Idaho, St Francis. Their only quality wins were Xavier (3 seed) and Stanford in OT. ASU has a good team, just didn't produce a solid enough resume. Georgia and other teams winning their tourney championships didnt help either.

Go Cats!

Interesting Family Guy - You mention quality wins and yet don't put UofA in there. I have a hard time with your train of thought win a 20 loss team (for the 1st time in NCAA history) is in the big dance. It is real hard to substantiate a complete body of work with Coppin State getting a bid with 20 losses. I am not even saying that UofA should not be in the tourny I am just saying that there are multiple teams that are in ahead of ASU that are questionable

Got me on the UofA, but, let's be honest they arent exactly an outstanding team. I was really referring to playing teams that are (or were at the time)top 25. As to your point about Coppin State. There are two ways to get into the tourney 1) Win your conference tourney 2) receive at large bid. Obviously, Coppin State won their conference tourney. Had Oregon State won the Pac 10 tourney they would have been in with 25 losses and no wins in Pac 10 reg season. That is the way it works. Obviously, I am referring to the At Large bids with respect to body of work. I agree that there are probably some teams that rec'd at large bids that didnt deserve them, but it doesn't mean that ASU did.
