I'm a "true PHX fan," pretty much cuz I live in PHX. Always have and always will.
This isn't college athletics, where you will always have a loyalty to a certain school cuz it is your alma matter, you went there for a while, or even they just recruited you. It's a professional team....originially designed for citizens of cities to enjoy sports and share common bonds.
Local teams need local fans. I buy tickets and swag. I watch the games that advertisors use. I heckle the hell out of opposing players. I fight opposing fans in the parking lots. That's a true fan. What are you contributing to the Cubs, besides putting up an avatar??
I take it you like Chicago better than PHX. That's fine. Some people just like McDonald's better than Fuddrucker. I get it, an addiction to mediocrity. But I ask, why don't you move back?? It's as simple as packing up your crap and getting the heck out.
You're right, but the weather sucks in Chicago. That's the ONLY reason I left. Phoenix has nothing to offer. I always wonder why the hell I live here. When the time is right, I will move back. But for now, I'll just harass you with DA BULLS-DA BEARS- and DA CUBS.
